EDIT Now the App will not sync

Edit of previous one start review: I previously gave this app one star, only because there is no "Zero star" rating. The app would sign off every day. I emailed Polar support and that's the way it was designed. Well, they fixed that, and now the app stays signed in. Unfortunately, they broke something else, and now the app will not sync with my IOS devices. My iPhone shows the Polar A300 in bluetooth, but the app will not download the data from the A300. Polar USA support has some generic rememdies, like "turn the phone off and back on." I have owned Polar HR monitors for 15 or 20 years, and the software has always been awful, although before all the bluetooth technology, that didn't matter so much, since one just wrote all this stuff down. Check the Polar web page and there are nothing but post after post of "Won't sync" & "can't find my device." Seriously, this will be my last Polar HR monitor. They just don't support the equipment. If you're reading this, you either aleady have a Polar, in which case, it's not you. The app just doesn't work. Or you're thinking about buying a Polar. My advice: Don't. I have owned at least 6 or 7 Polar HR monitors, but every one has been limited by the lack of support from Polar and the complete uselessness of the Polar software. I'm going shopping this week and tossing this stupid Polar as soon as I get a replacement. I bought my wife a Garmin for Xmas which seems to work fine. I may do that for myself.

Latest update has issues

I can't even imagine the tedious work that goes into developing apps and syncing them. I understand there will be bugs to work out all the time. The recent update which I performed a few days ago along with the device update on the A300 has caused syncing issues. I can get the watch to sync to this app only if I sync the watch on my computer first. Then after a few hours the sync is lost between the app and watch. We have had the A300 for about two months and this was not the experience I expected. Please update to make this work soon!

Another one in the "won't sync" column

Prior versions were a bit finicky, but I could get them to connect to my Loop after 2-3 tries... Unfortunately, this version simply refuses to connect at all. I gave up after fiddling with it for 30 minutes.

Polar, I love your hardware, but your programmers have made a real hot mess of this application. New features are great and all, but not at the expense of existing (and, frankly, most basic!) functionality.

I'll be needing to replace my Loop soon (battery is almost to the point of needing charging every night, so I know its days are numbered). As I said, I like the hardware, but now I'm looking hard at the Garmin devices now, since those appear to have far fewer issues connecting to their app.
