The POLITICO app for iPhone and iPad brings you your politics fix in a clean, easy-to-navigate layout that keeps you up to date when you’re on the go. POLITICO delivers the fastest, most in-depth coverage of politics and policy developments and everything you need to stay up to speed on the 2016 races. POLITICO’s journalists break news and drive conversation on the White House, Capitol Hill, Washington and lobbying, the intersection of politics with Wall Street, media and personalities, and dedicated coverage of twelve policy areas.
■ The POLITICO app will dynamically deliver additional News, Blogs, or other feeds in the future, without requiring an app update. Make sure you have the notifications switch turned on in your Settings app for POLITICO, in order to be notified when new changes occur.
■ POLITICO’s articles, videos and photos update several times every day. The app will automatically check for changes several times every hour and intelligently download only those changes that are different from the last downloaded content.
■ All downloaded article content is intelligently cached for offline reading when a network is not convenient. You can use the “AUTO UPDATE” flags in the Sections menu to control what and how much content we automatically download.

What's New in Version 4.0.5
Updated web views, improved push notification handling, and possible crash fixes.
No longer updates properly
This update has basically destroyed any ease of use this app used to have — scrolling up to update no longer works. Instead, when I scroll up, the screen gets stuck on "Updating", which doesn't stop until I restart the app. And to top it all off, after all that, it still doesn't update.
I don't need a lot from this app, just the latest top news from Politico, not even any of the other features, but this update has removed even that. Please fix this soon!
I can only echo echo echo what everyone says before me...this app is an embarrassment to Politico and cyberspace. Why is it that a mainstream media outlet like Politico finds it so difficult to get its mobile app act together?? Second only to the lousy Realclear app which is also horrible. Don't you think they'd worry about ad revenues and the like -- reason alone to fix the problems?!? Anyway, I strongly recommend you don't waste your time with this app until Politico listens and gets the app right...but don't hold your breath!!?!!
Makes you wonder if the publishers of this app ever actually use it. Takes forever to refresh. Forever meaning past the attention span of a normal mobile user. My usual use is to call up the app, drag to refresh, watch the spinning ball, wait, wait, then switch to another app that actually has current news. If you want yesterday's news today this is the app for you. I've finally deleted it from all my devices. I could wait no longer.
