Poly Bridge, the hit bridge-building game, now on iPhone and iPad.
Unleash your engineering creativity with an engaging and fresh bridge-building simulator with all the bells and whistles.
Dozens of hours and over 100 levels of physics-based puzzle solving fun await you in the Campaign, requiring you to build all kinds of structures, ranging from simple light car bridges to multi-deck draw-bridges and jumps, just to name a few!
You can also compare your scores with the Online Statistics, aim to unlock all the achievements and much more!
Pretty good but needs a few UI improvements
I have been playing bridge building games since the original back in the 90s. Poly bridge looks simple, but it is actually more complicated to use than others in the genre. Some unintuitive controls hamper the development process and make it less approachable for kids.
For example, if you want to delete a node you have to pull up a separate selection tool, and then navigate a menu. Your fingers obscure node placement, and there is no option to change the grid size. Many of the bridges are at an angle, making the levels less of an engineering challenge and more of a slog to fine-tune node replacement.
Personally, I don't see anything new brought to the table here other than some ramp jumping levels. Other bridge building games have better controls and are just as good if not better. But this is still a four star game, it is just not exceptional.
This game is not only fun, but educational. Although the physics may not necessarily equate to real-world bridge building, the feeling that the things I build in the game might actually function in real life is deeply satisfying. The game feels like an arcade laboratory: experimentation is rewarded with discovery, and these discoveries seem hugely significant because it feels like they could actually have some kind of real-world significance. When you learn an efficient new building technique, it feels like you are the first to discover it. And if you really get stuck, instead of looking at a walkthrough or FAQ, you can look at Wikipedia pages about how actual bridges are made. At its best this game makes me feel like an engineering genius; at its worst it teaches me something new. yeah so it's pretty fun I guess
Best bridge building game. Worth price
I've paid for other building games and have never been so satisfied. Plenty of levels. I'm not sure about replay ability yet because I have not gotten that far. There are way more options with this game than any other bridge builder I've played which is great. Some of the more advanced tools can be a little harder to master. An advanced tutorial might be helpful, but even without it most people should pick it up. Would give 10 stars to this game if possible.
