Very good, easy play
This one is fun, easy to use, accurate, and looks great. One of my favorite pool games. I only wish it had tournament play and 3 ball.
It has been over 2 years since I wrote the review above and I still love Pool+. It is my 2nd favorite pool app for the iPad. But let me say this: Pool+ has actually helped me improve my skills on an actual pool table far more than my favorite 3D Pool app has. You see, Pool+ has an incredible English shot feature which basically taught me how to shoot when playing real pool. So now when someone asks me where I learned to shoot like a pro, I tell them about playing Pool+ on an iPad. It's a great app. Anyone who loves pool should get it. (But still wish it had 3 ball and virtual tournaments.)
Fun Game with Serious Problems
I have both the free and paid versions. I am using an iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.1.2.
This is a seriously fun game. However, after playing it for a while, several things happen rendering it useless. The start buttons resize smaller and shift down and left. The pool table resizes smaller. The cue flickers so fast it's a blur. And the icons around the table are huge and inoperable. Uninstalling the application and reinstalling it does nothing to fix this. The symptoms are the same for both versions. Cycling the phones power does temporarily solve the problem for a while.
I checked out the developers site. There is no support page or contact method. Buyer's beware!
Fun, but has some annoying issues
For those who play pool this will entertain you while waiting at a doctor's office. But there are some quirks I don't like. First, it's hard to aim the stick from the sides of the table. You have to touch the center table and slide to the side or you will hit the other buttons. Second, it's probably designed for the iPad more so than an iPhone because it's hard to hit the side button you want without hitting the one you don't. But...hey, it's just an app!
