These people have NO IDEA what they're doing. If you need your money to get to the recipient on any kind of time table DO NOT use Popmoney! I tried to use Popmoney to pay my rent. Setting up the account was easy. App was easy to use. They debited the money from my account and then....nothing. The receiver didn't get it. I call and they say that the receiver needs to verify her account. Okay. Done. Still no transfer. I call again and they say I need to verify my email. Okay. Done. Nothing. I call and they say my account is on hold and the money is going to be returned because it's too high of a $ amount. My rent is $1100. After my rent is now 7 days late, even though I ordered the transfer 4 days early, and they tell me that they have everything they need and my account will be reviewed and released and I can try again next month with no problem. I call on the 19th of the following month and they say no, that's not true, we need to send you paperwork to verify your bank account but will send that via email by end of day. Two days later, no email. These people have NO IDEA what they're doing. If you need your money to get to the recipient on any kind of time table DO NOT use Popmoney!
Will never use or suggest others to use
After almost a week, my friend will receive her funds in "one business day." Guess what? It's Friday so that means Monday. So much for sending the money so she could use it for her needs like food & medication. She & her kids will have to wait because the system is inefficient & some of the employees did not know to tell us that the website was having technical difficulties!
We finally got a hold of an employee who simply suggested downloading the app, when the deposit was made. But she still doesn't get the funds until Monday. The previous employees we spoke with & the site never suggested the site was having issues. I spoke with a supervisor who listened to my issue but I have no idea if it'll turn into an improvement.
I would think that there'd need to be an immediate notice sent to the entire company if a site that deals with people's money, isn't working as it should! Your other reviews aren't stellar so I wouldn't be surprised if your company goes under. However, if you're connected to the banks, maybe you won't.
Don't expect good service if there is an issue
I've been using popmoney for about 3 years and haven't had a whole lot of issues until last month. I forgot to update my debit card on file and instead of them making a phone call they shut my whole account down, sent the money back to the sender, and the customer service rep accused me of fraud. She actually even advised I try using another service to send the $ because she wasn't sure what was going on with my account. Despite 3 years of service I am giving once star because frankly getting money from one place to the other is their job, the bare expectation. But from the other reviews and my experience what really makes a company good is how they handle problems and service their customers and this company fails miserably at it.
