Open iTunes to buy and download apps.

PopSci Interactive allows your smart phone or tablet to recognize images. It then augments your view of the real world with videos, music and 3D animations. Wherever you see the PS icon throughout the magazine just open the app and point at the page to unlock virtual content.

Download the app
Open and point your device at any image on the page where you see the PS icon
Watch as the image comes to life
Double tap at any time to enter full screen and then you can pull away from the image
Tap any buttons you see to find out more or link to social media

Nice addition

I think it's a nice addition to the magazine, a supplemental of sorts. Open the app and face the camera at a page with the [PS] symbol. it'll load the video. then u can double tap the vid to go fullscreen (so u can put down the magazine and enjoy the vid). If u don't go fullscreen, u have to keep the camera pointed at the page of the mag.

Not very useful

This tries to be some sort of augmented reality app combined with an interactive reading tool. Instructions are poor, and half the interactive content in the magazines are advertisements. Getting the magazine and phone in position where it can accurately see the image but also let's you actually see the phone is challenging. I used it for 5 mins and deleted

A Wasted App

The idea for this app seemed really cool. Here was a chance to see more content with articles in the magazine. But the only items in the magazine that I can use this on are ads.

Since I can scan QR codes for that and can do so in numerous publications, I don't see the point in a special app just for one magazine.

Use the potential of this app to enhance the content and my opinion will change.
