Love Andy Warhol's 1950s silkscreened pop art? Create your own with Popstamatic. Processing a new or existing photo takes only 20 seconds, and you can choose from among five different color options. To create a colorful silkscreen like Warhol's famous paintings of Marilyn Monroe, start with a clean portrait (good lighting, simple background). But don't stop there. The possibilities are endless.
This app invites you to explore the iconic style of silkscreened artwork pioneered by Warhol by seeing how your own photographs could be flattened and recolored.
This free app is intended for educational benefit, and is not affiliated with Warhol's estate or foundation.

Nice Idea. Needs Improvement
I like the idea of having an app like this. I'm a fan of apps that turn photos into art. I had hoped it would be more polished though. The developers should go take a look at Phototropedelic for an example of a well put together photo to picture app. Compared to that one, this is chicken wire.
I'd love to see the resolution greatly improved upon. I'd like there to be more choices of color schemes, as well as the ability to pick the specific colors.
It would be awesome if we could also stitch four pictures together 2x2, like a Warhol picture.
I'd really like to give this app a high rating, but it's dull and devoid of features as it stands right now.
Here are some similar great apps autopainter, halftone, snap&sketch, and tooncamera.
Come on guys, bring this app up to this level of quality. Warhol deserves it.

This app is just what I was looking for. Thank you so much. You just need a face, good lighting, and an iPod :) 5 stars
Best Part is....it's Free
Works great, fun and the best part is it's free. Wish it did quad but when it's free and it works you can't ask for much more. 5 stars.
