Shipping charges need to be changed
I love this app, I'm a buyer & seller and I love the financial freedom this platform has given me. I have been using the app for a entire year and my only gripe has been with shipping price. Recently the shipping fee was increased & I understand why that happened, although I think an adjustment should be made to the flat rate shipping. I don't often sell bundles and every now and then I'll sell a pair of shoes or a handbag (Heavier items) I mostly sell tee's & dresses, I think the seller should have the option to select what weight of shipping charge should go with the item. For example every time I drop off my items at the post office the mail lady looks at me in horror and says "why did you pay so much for shipping?" When shipping items like a tee of a dress the 5lb shipping weight is a waste. I always have to tell her that the person buying paid for shipping through the Poshmark app and she's always in disbelief, I agree what a waste of money. I believe that the seller should add the weight of the item when making the listing therefore smaller item would cost less to ship. Same rules would apply when the weight is over, the seller pays the difference. If shipping wasn't so expensive I believe that people would buy a lot more thru the app. That's just my 2 cents.
Lovely app 👌
Use JNVWS to get 5 bucks use it for your first purchase for something you like! You get 5, I get 5 when you purchase an item you want, it's a win-win. Now onto the review! Poshmark is a very trusted app with clothes, shoes, make-up & whatever else you're on the hunt for. There's no issues with authenticity that I have found or experienced and I still have yet to encounter any rude sellers or have an issue with an item; every thing I've ever purchased has arrived just as they appeared. Posh is definitely an app to keep if you're a buyer and seller. As of the new update, listers can now add more and bigger pictures of their items too. Unfortunately, there's no free shipping on this app due to the commission rate set in place, which has unfortunately gone up by another dollar thanks to usps. Thankfully, they do have deals where they lower the shipping cost too; and items you like that are reduced in price get a reduced shipping cost too. Perfect for when you've been eyeing and item but haven't been too fond of the shipping but hopefully in the future they add new options to shipping so the prices won't be a bit steep on items that don't weigh as much.
Happy but need some changes
I have been an avid posher for a few years now and have had great success moving unwanted items from my closet! As of lately the drop in sales due to shipping costs have been quite discouraging! I don't have extremely expensive items, more common brands like express, loft, MK, merona, etc. and I usually don't list anything unless it's in great condition. I think items should be reasonably priced solely for the fact that most items are used. I understand the selling fee, everyone needs to make money, but when coupled with the shipping cost of $6.95 no one wants to purchase a tank top for $15 + $7 shipping! At that price you can go buy a brand new one. My point is, it's seems that the shipping cost had deterred people from buying or now they just lowball even more! The bundling option is great and I've used it a number of times, but sometimes you only want to buy a pair of $8 earrings and who wants to pay $7 to ship them! I feel people are forced to price items much lower and offer a high bundle discount in hops of maybe making a few bucks. I think the shipping needs to be adjusted to reflect weight, I barely ever ship anything over 2lbs.
