Customer Reviews

Short Timer

I have been on Poshmark for 4 months now. In that time I have met some amazing people and gotten my feet wet selling which I had minimal experience in other than retail jobs. The platform is user friendly and on the whole a pleasant experience. That being said, I do not care for the seemingly arbitrary rating system for buyers to rate. It seems new buyers are not interested in reading the etiquette guide nor about how sellers get paid and that the rating is not based on whether an item fit you or if it wasn't the perfect color for you.I have gotten reviews that were for 4 & 3 stars based on description when I use up almost all of the characters in some instances to describe the item and these are also from people who do not ask any questions about the item at all prior to purchasing. The other issue is the pending acceptance the wait period for them to accept their item if they ever do is too long in my opinion especially since we're encouraged to ship expeditiously along with wrapping and thank you cards, all of which I do. The buyer should be nudged kindly into accepting their order in a timely manner. I enjoy Poshmark and understand these are issues that have to be worked out and I hope my review is helpful in information.

Values Money Over Customer Service

While many Poshmark experiences have been positive, I've had an underlying frustration with Poshmark's tendency to feel like a ripoff for both Sellers and Buyers... for Sellers, Poshmark takes a whopping 20%, (one of the highest percentages taken from sales on any current selling platform). However, as an app, Poshmark is extremely well-made and user-friendly, and makes listing and selling easy. For buyers, it's great if whatever you're buying is listed at a great price, but sometimes it just doesn't make sense to pay a necessary flat shipping rate of $5.95 (SIX DOLLARS to ship something less than an ounce sometimes?!!) which seems like a huge Ripoff on Poshmark's part-- I do think they should consider making shipping fees adjustable depending on the item(s) being purchased... and finally, I've had several instances with Customer Service as both a Seller and Buyer, and was deeply disappointed with each experience. Sometimes the Customer Service was just downright rude, and definitely don't prioritize Customer satisfaction. Overall experience has been eh, pretty good, but I'd be much more likely to Sell and Buy on the app if those frustrations were somehow remedied by some considerate updates to their system.

Solid site with access to thousands of buyers

This app and site are quite good. They do charge a fee based on your sales price which limits your allowable profit. I'm not quite clear what that pays for. It is very simple to use and is set up so that you print your label for shipping and everything done by Poshmark. I imagine this does equate to the fee that they do charge and it becomes reasonable. People tend to want upscale items so if you are looking to sell used clothing that is not in impeccable condition and may not be a
"posh" label, you may want to sell on another site. They are also quite strict as to what you cancel so is limiting that way as well. Their customer service is quite quick and thorough. So I would suggest and recommend this site highly over others like it.
