What's New in Version 2.38.02
- Bug fixes and other improvements
So far so good. I've bought pretty much an entirely new work wardrobe. Around 25 pieces just in tops/blouses. A few sets of pajamas and sweaters. A jean jacket. Several gorgeous sweaters. One pair of shoes. Only one issue with a seller not shipping my item. I waited 11 days as she was initially responsive but then went ahead and cancelled. My money was quickly refunded. All items have been exactly as described. Clean, well maintained beautiful clothing that I paid a portion of the retail price for. Those complaints about PM taking 20% are silly. The backend of this system is pretty incredible. They could make some tweaks to sorting your likes, making it easier to like/unlike (i.e. Double tap like Instagram) but it's a nifty app. I've seen a handful of "designer inspired" and do think Posh needs to crack down on those. It made me decide not to buy any nice handbags etc as there's no real way to know until you get the bag and I'm not a PI nor will I take a handbag to Kate Spade or Gucci and ask them to validate. Too embarrassing! As a seller I've had 30 items listed for a week with some interest but no sales yet. I'm certain it's just a matter of time but worst case I can still take them to Clothes Mentor and/or donate them for the tax deduction. I still ended up with a closet full of gorgeous work clothing. Happy customer here!
This app is a good way to sell stuff you were going to throw out anyway. If you are selling designer goods, I would say NO to this app. First, Poshmark takes a hefty percentage from sales, so people hate budging on the price. Secondly, no matter what you list the price as, cheapskates will constantly try to low ball you. If you put up a pair of shoes that originally cost $200 and you list is at $40, someone will offer you $20. *Eye Roll*. It's insulting. So, if you REALLY need some extra cash and have things of value, say no to this app. If you have a few things you want to toss, make a few extra bucks with this app. ALSO, I'm not sure if there is a shipping option (I only sell, never buy), but everyone I sold to was charged for five pounds. Like if something can fit in an envelope, they were still charged for five pounds. The mail lady said it's a ripoff.
Love! ❤️ But I Have Two Suggestions
I love everything about Poshmark but I do have one suggestion: please add a confirmation button screen after a person accepts her/his order. Sometimes buyers accidentally hit the "Accept Order" button, especially since it is so close to the "Problems/Order Inquiry" option. Also, please make a section dedicated to emphasizing the fact that no one should advertise other Posher's/website's/business's prices in another Posher's closet. That has happened to me too many times and I've seen it happen in other Posher's closets as well. This not only ruins my business, but also negative affects Poshmark as well. Hope The Poshmark Team takes these things into consideration.
