Postmates is the first app to deliver whatever you want when you want it. We will deliver food from any restaurant and merchandise from any store. One of our 200,000 Postmates will bring everything right to your doorstep. So what’s it really like?
You wake up on a Saturday morning craving some bagels so you find your favorite bakery and order it on Postmates. Those warm bagels arrive in less than 30 minutes and you realize that this was the best idea you’ve had. Ever.
Now it’s a Sunday afternoon and after a long day at the park it’s time to binge watch that new Netflix show. You literally can’t even “do” cooking because it’s 2018 and your fridge is empty. So you order a Chipotle bowl that arrives right when you need it—just like magic.
But then it’s Monday and—after a busy morning—you just don’t have time for the lunch line at Tender Greens. But you’re craving the Tuna Nicoise Salad, so you use Postmates Pickup to skip the line and grab your takeout from the counter since it’s ready right when you get there.
Left your phone charger in the office, but need to work late? It’s okay. A Postmate is coming your way with Red Bull from 7-Eleven and a charger. Should you expense the Red Bull? That’s up to you. Just remember that the delivery fee from any of our 25,000+ partners is just $3.99.

Used to be a great app
When Postmates was first introduced, I was amazed. Food delivery from any restaurant? And quickly? That was a lazy man like me’s dream. I would order multiple times a week and could enjoy Bret food whenever I wanted. Now, though, things are very, very different. Ever since the $3.99 delivery was introduced, it has all gone downhill. Real restaurants were less emphasized than ones that have no seating, that only exist in a hub for the sole purpose of Postmates. Now this would be fine except for the fact that they have removed the feature allowing you to order from any restaurant for a little more than $3.99, and have even gone so far as to pretend unapproved restaurants don’t exist, so there’s no way to order from them. The second thing that will kill Postmates is the new small cart fee- of your order is under $12 you are forced to pay a 2 dollar fee. This would be sensible except for the fact that the food item prices are designed to make it as difficult as possible for you to get right up on the limit- they have started to make things cost -.29 instead of -.99 and generally use sneaky pricing to make it more difficult. Overall, what used to be my favorite app got too greedy and became and overpriced, limited delivery service that forces you to pay extra for food from their list of approved restaurants. But hey, I knew it was too good to be true from the start, so I guess I shouldn’t feel too bad deactivating and uninstalling my account.
Can’t even begin to describe how angry I am after not getting what I ordered AND being robbed by hidden service fee! Tried to order food but the menu was from a completely different place. Then I went with my second choice and they had the menu for a different location which led to a phone call from the driver telling me 90% of what I ordered wasn’t available. Now my actual total is completely different from what I actually ordered. App lies on status of order, I’m watching it say my order is being prepared and about to leave for delivery and that’s when I got a call to say nothing I ordered is available. Worse food ordering app I’ve used. Wow! Just noticed an additional sneaky charge, a service fee of 20%, in addition to delivery fee and tip. Unfortunately you don’t even see this until the order is done. When you’re making your order this is hidden in with sales tax but after your card is charged it shows a service fee. This is theft! If I’d have seen a service and delivery fee I never would’ve ordered, but I guess they know this. This app is getting deleted immediately. They’d make more money off repeat business if it wasn’t so shady. Instead they choose to steal extra money on a one time transaction. It’s one thing to knowingly overpay for something you want but I not only paid more than I was aware but I didn’t even get what I wanted. Even after I found out they didn’t have the stuff I wanted, my second choices were incorrect also. Total disaster!

I’ve used postmates for a while and have been satisfied with their service. I signed up for the 9.99 a month service to get free delivery, and only use it a couple times a month. I’m not sure it’s worth the investment but I expect to get my food when we do order. I place an order one day, and it never shows up! Of course I’m pretty upset. Only way to contact customer support is by pressing help which sends them an email. They then email me back saying it’s MY fault and that they waited 10 minutes! I’m furious at this point and respond saying that I waited outside and they never even approached. They email back apologizing and decide to grant me the privilege of not charging my card. For the food I don’t get. Thanks a lot.
I order again which went ok, then the very next time it happened again!! Once again they apologize and don’t charge me for the order. I told them it is unacceptable and I would cancel my subscription to their service and wouldn’t use their service again. They send back instructions on how to cancel. No effort to appease their mistakes. I have a family and when I get off work it’s a scramble to do everything we need to before bed. We order dinner only a couple times a month for convenience and a break from cooking dinner (the whole purpose of postmates) and they fail miserably at taking care of a long time customer.
This is a horrible company and I strongly urge anyone who’s reading this to use another app.
