Useful for iMessages

I use Powershot all the time for iMessages to clip and send photos to my kids or my wife. This utility allows me to select a picture or portion of the screen and capture it. Once you capture something, you can either save as a .png file on your computer or paste it into a program. In my case, I just capture and paste immediately into iMessages. If you are familiar with the snipper tool in Windows, this program is similar. Not as versatile, doesn’t have a free draw tool for annotation, but for simple annotations (squares, circles, arrows, text) it does the job.

I took a risk, and bingo!

The things that they don’t really make clear in the ad above is that you can resize the capture area after you make it. This was the biggest feature I was searching for. While making the capture area, it’s got a nice magnify loop so you can see exactly where you are capturing. You can also readjust anything when marking up the screen capture before capturing. It’s well worth the price. Not sure why they don’t illustrate these features in the screenshots above. I’m pretty sure they have a really good app to do it with…

It doesn’t work and I can’t get rid of it.

I bought and downloaded Powershot 1.5 a few days ago, and today I wanted to use it, but it won’t open. I did a search hoping I could delete it since after multiple attempts, it is obviously not working. I can’t delete it because when I try to move it to the trash or use EASY FIND to find and delete it, it won’t let me delete it. It give me a message that says I can’t delete it because it is running, even tho I just turned the computer on and (restarted) and have not gone to turn it on. Can someone tell me how to get rid of this piece of junk?
