Ratings and Reviews
I would recommend this app overall
I use this app every day. I like to read the suggested articles other general information. I would give this 5 stars, but they took away my favorite tool. There used to be a week by week break down of baby’s development, and a spot to post a picture of your baby each week under the “this week section”. Now when you click “this week”, instead of taking you to the specific week, it goes into the general baby development area. And then, there is a little message that pops up which states “looking for photos? Go to the tools section!”
When you go there, you can still take photos to show baby’s progress, but instead of the paragraph telling you all about the specific week your baby has reached, there’s one sentence about it. And when you upload a picture, the sentence goes away. I really enjoyed the way it was set up before and I am really upset with this change.
Other than that I do like this app. It doesn’t have intrusive adds and it isn’t buggy. It’s reliable and has a lot of great information. It’s worth having because it’s a quick and easy reference for tons of common worries and questions that moms have. I would definitely recommend this to FTM’s (first time moms).
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on our new layout. You should be able to locate information on your baby's development under "My Week". I'm sorry to hear that you're not able to locate this. I'd be happy to assist you further. Can you please email email@example.com Attn:Stephanie as the subject of your email with the following information:
1. What type of iPhone are you working on? (iPhone 5, 6, 6S, 7, 8, X)
2. What iOS (operating system) is your device running? (iOS 10, 11)
3. Screenshots of your "My Week" page
In regards to the photo journal, the sentence you are referring to that goes away after you take the picture is where your caption for the photo would be. That sentence is put there to reference how the caption would appear should you decide to enter one after taking your picture.
I look forward to hearing from you so that we can work on resolving the issues you've experienced with the "My Week" section.
Makes this experience easier and even more exciting!
I love this app! It’s a great tool during pregnancy and keeps me completely in-the-know about what’s happening in my body. I get so excited each week to open it up and watch my weekly video, my husband watched the videos with me so we both know exactly what’s happening and developing. Knowing what the baby looks like and having an idea of what’s growing that week makes the experience even more exciting to me. I love being informed, it makes me feel more at ease. This app definitely helps with that.
I also love the community message boards - for the most part. I try to only look at them a couple times a week, some women post things that can make me feel worried or I compare myself to them. I have to remind myself that every pregnancy is different! And I try to keep myself from opening the “scary” posts that could make me feel uneasy or stressed out. Even though I totally understand why someone with concerns would post to a message board - I just overthink! Overall, this app is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone!
We're so glad to hear that you're enjoying the What to Expect app. We appreciate you taking the time to share your valuable thoughts and suggestions. Information is marginal, community is horrid
The app provides very little information to expectant mothers, a few short non-meaningful articles and the size of the baby as it develops. The videos are absolutely horrid. The email spam is ridiculous. The community, especially Hot Topics is an echo chamber for bitter, miserable women who will beat down anyone who do not agree with them politically. When I say echo chamber, it’s just that. Even to the point where some of the regulars create new accounts with different user names just to agree with themselves in a debate. WTE is obviously ran by people who are politically left, as they allow anyone with leftist ideology to bully and name call those who aren’t. It’s an extremely toxic environment - with women who have been around since the beginning of the App. Ugh. I don’t recommend this at all to anyone who actually wants to enjoy their pregnancy, stress free and untainted by the miserable musings of rich stay at home left leaning women who feel superior to everyone else. They have found a sounding board to spend their miserable lives in and cyber bully people who aren’t like them and then pat each other on the backs and comfort each other about what great sensitive caring people they are. Find something better to do, there are certainly more informative less ridiculous pregnancy apps out there.
