This app does one thing but it does it extremely well. If you give presentations, training, tutorials, or speak publicly, this app is for you. Beautifully animated, with large, easy to read numbers that change colors at thresholds you determine. When the timer hits 0:00, the colors invert (black on red) and continue counting up indicating how long you've gone over. Fully customizable options and simple touch controls
* Create and save as many timers as you want from 0min to 99 min 59 sec
* Set time limits for color warnings to change the clock to green, yellow and red
* Timers can be configured to give audible and/or vibration alerts when crossing a time limit threshold -- but if you want a completely silent countdown, thats ok too :)
* Output timers to an external display using the TV Out adapter

Comedian Peter Wolf Loves This App!
I'm a stand up comic who does many church and corporate events as well as club shows. It is important for me to keep my set to the time allotted by the event organizer or promoter. Clubs especially do not like it when a comic uses more time than they were allowed because it throws the rest of the show off and you're using up the other comics stage time. I wanted to find a timer that would let me keep track of my time as inconspicuously as possible and without an audible alarm. This app is PERFECT for keeping me on time! I just open it and set it before I go up, set my phone on the stool with my set list and water and give it one tap to start. It does the rest. I set the total time of my set, the point that I want to know I'm getting near the end and it counts down. The full screen display can be viewed in portrait or landscape and is very easy to see even without my glasses. I set my warning at 5 minutes to let me know I need to start my last bit and the display turns yellow to let me know. When times up the screen goes red and begins to count up to let you know how long you've gone over. You really only need a quick glance to check the time, but it's easy to see the color change in your peripheral vision so you may not even need to look at it if you're a pro. This app does not run in the background though. You need to keep it open. It is very customizable and perfect for comedy, public speaking and preaching.
Fatal flaw keeps it out of the pro field
I’ve tested dozens of timer apps for use in professional tradeshow and conference settings, and this is far and away the best -- with one MAJOR FATAL FLAW:
Why the developer/designer would chose to emulate an obsolete seven-segment display is beyond me -- it’s completely illegible from close-up for far away. When a presenter onstage glances briefly at the display out of the corner of their eye (which, I guarantee you, is how they’re “looking” at it -- for a split second in their periphery), the numbers to be IMMEDIATELY legible. Come on... this is an iPad app, not a VCR from 1982. Ditch the very hard-to-read skeuomorphic “retro” font and re-design with a big, BOLD, normal font like Helvetica bold or Droid bold.
This is much less important, but still worth mentioning: I’d love a way to name each pre-set. In professional applications, this would be extremely helpful. For example, “Intro - CEO” “Overview - VP of Sales” “Talent - Comedian,” etc.
Must have app
I've had this app for months and find it indispensable. I use it to time my lectures, as well as to help students with speeches/monologues. What sets this timer apart from others I've seen is the color-coded pre-warning and warning system, as well as the 'negative' timing (the clock keeps going after your 'time' runs out, and lets you know how much over you went).
With the color coded warnings, you don't even need to look at the clock per se; you can just catch the colors in your peripheral vision. This is important for speech givers and auditioners. I also know writers who use this to time their pitches to potential producers and agents. Seriously, grab this. It's simplicity and elegance = super functionality.
