Ratings and Reviews
The nephews love it!
I first got the Press Here picture book for my nephews last Christmas and they LOVE it. They really think they're making the dots in the book get bigger and smaller and dance and wiggle.
I just got the app for my iPhone and they love it too. Even the little guy can make it work and he's only 2.
It's not an ebook version of the book, which is good. This is more like cool games that kids can play: drawing, shaking, combining, making music, etc. It's going to keep them busy when their auntie needs a moment. And I won't feel guilty because it's really creative and smart.
Great Companion to the Book - and so fun!
I'm such a huge fan of the book Press Here, I wasn't sure what to expect from the app. Pleased to say I'm delighted!
The elegantly simple graphics that made the book such a gem look just as lovely on the iPhone screen, and the same spirit of discovery that made the book such a charmer is at play in every game.
Just like the book expected the young reader to do some of the "worK," in the app it's not always obvious how to play each of the games. This is a good thing. The young player has to figure it out, and watching them do it is fascinating.
The open-ended games no only encourage exploration and creativity, but also make the app a great value. I'm often wary of products that claim they offer "hours of fun" (when's the last time your kid did anything for hours?) but it looks like Press Here will deliver.
Captures all the playful imaginative spirit of the book. I usually don't let kids play with my iPhone, but now I can't wait to hand this over to them!
