** Welcome to Pride & Prejudice, the Hidden Object Adventure. **
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.
The classic opening line of Jane Austen's most beloved novel. Published almost two hundred years ago, it has seen many adaptations over the years.
Now, Pride & Prejudice is the first title in a series of fully featured Hidden Object adventure games, placed under the collective banner, Hidden Anthologies. Closely following the plot of the book, the game involves many of the much loved characters & offers new perspectives to both the gaming genre & the story.
** Featuring beautifully rendered scenes, emotive music & compelling narrative driven gameplay. The game will appeal to fans of all ages, but especially to the millions of Jane Austen devotees around the world.
** Core Hidden Object gameplay, with many scenes incorporating creative adventure elements. Help look after Jane while she is ill at Netherfield & make tea for a nervous pre-proposal Mr Darcy.
** Character scenes, featuring a period sympathetic hand-drawn style, with flowing narrative & key plot points.
** Various 'Pastimes' pop up throughout the game to break up the gameplay. Such as torn letter jigsaw puzzles, spot-the-difference, Picross style Cross Stitch patterns & a Pianoforte music challenge.
** Further taxing gameplay modes include cryptic object descriptions & deviously hidden pieces of Elizabeth's diary. Luckily a comprehensive hint system will aid you if needed.

Fun game but ... Missing words & not so good for track pad users.
I am a great fan of Pride & Prejudice, so I bought this game. I have enjoyed the hidden objects portions though there are not as many as you'd think. The dialogue sections are fun except that they are not well proof read. There are words missing in the middle of sentences and sometimes misspellings. Lizzy's diary readings are interesting but I think there are too many. My real issue, though, are the pianoforte games. My Mac, like many others, has a track pad. It is very difficult to complete these games once the notes begin falling more quickly and in greater numbers. I have so far been unable to complete the second one and have become very frustrated with it. I think these particular games are better for iPads than for laptops. All in all a fun game, so I'm giving it 4 stars. However, that may change if my frustration continues.
I bought this game because I am a Jane Austen fan. The storyline is good but I also got "stuck" on one of the puzzles.
So glad they added a "skip puzzle" option. I hope this helps me to through the entire game.
Not very enjoyable
This was a little boring & not very interesting. Not really a hidden object game. Didn't think this was worth the time or money.
