Princes 2 has a few good things and a few bad things. Firstly the graphics are greatly improved and the game is significantly longer. This second installment feels less like a child's game where there is fewer handholding and a little bit smarter and more difficult puzzles to solve. However with the harder puzzles come less hints. A room could have two or three things for you to still do, but the hint button only shows the one main thing for you to do. They have added a guide which can be very helpful. Although I really miss the map that was in the first one. Now you have to click through all the finished areas just to get one puzzle piece, and then click back over through all the finished areas again to return back so that you can solve certain puzzles.

The biggest problem is the bugs. Currently there are rooms that I have not yet cleared completely however the hint button will not work for those rooms and I'm stuck not sure what else I need to do to clear them. Some people have to restart the whole game and begin for the beginning. I found a hard reboot or waiting a few days seems to help the game clear itself out. I just hope I can finish the game I'm nearly done. If it wasn't for all the problems I would give this four stars.

Had hopes but no

I really liked the first one. So I got this one to follow the story. I did get thought the entire game, so I can't say it sucked completely. The issue is that the hints do nothing to help. They just show active areas in the area you are in. So if you are missing 1 item out of 15 and don't know where you missed it, you are doomed to walk around the same places again and again. I also found that the controls on many puzzles are horrible. There is one particular one that involves jars and liquids. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but it took me a good 2 minutes to figure out where the jar had to be dragged to trigger the pouring action. The puzzle should be what to pore and not how to get the game controls to function. And this puzzle was not the only spot like that. I also find that as opposed to how these games function usually, this one often imbed lacked logic or at the least a storyline explanation of why something is to be solved a particular way.

Basically without using a walk through or a guide I would have gotten stuck, bored and then stopped playing. Leaning a bit on a walk through which I prefer not to do usually things become bearable.

Fun, but glitchy at the end.

Overall, really fun game. Tricky in a few parts but more because I missed something. Only problems were in the collector's extention part. A few tasks didn't register my first step (eg. the doll's face still said it needed to be cleansed of evil makeup after I had used my sponge & it had removed it from my inventory). I was lucky that exiting out of the game & restarting put me back into the gme, and credited the move. I didn't figure that out at first and was getting really irritated because I wasn't sure if the problem was the game or my playing.
