PrintCheck is an easy to use app to print bank checks.
Any printer that can print envelopes can be used to print checks from you checkbook.
PrintCheck can print checks from the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Canada (fr and en), France, Germany, India(en), Portugal, UK, USA and Spain.
Printed checks not only look good but forgery by inflating the amount is more difficult then with a pen/ink written check.
-Amount text is automatically written in check's country language while the amount number is entered.
-Checks can be crossed and optionally text can be printed between crossing lines.
-Portrait and landscape printing is supported
-Position and size of check fields can be fine tunned to match a real check.
-To help field positioning adjustments, a grid can be printed in inches or centimeters.
-Check configuration can be exported/imported.
-Information about printed checks can be logged to a text file.

What's New in Version 1.2.1
- fixed printing issue with Mountain Lion
This program works as promised, and way better than the other app offered, cheque print. Customer support is available and he WILL respond. PLEASE NOTE: in order for the app to work you need to take measurements of your check. You also have to take into account where the check prints on the page. My recomendation is to print a sample check on regular paper, then hold it behind an unprinted check. Hold the overylaying pages in front of your desk lamp, you will see where the check will print on the page and can make adjustments as needed. It takes time, I spent an hour, 15 sheets of paper, and 2 blank checks getting everything perfect. But after the initial time investment the results are perfect. The only thing I would like from the developer is clearer instructions, especially on how to get the entire check to print where you want on the page.
As Simple as Possible
While it appears this software has been abandoned, it still works fine in Yosemite. It does what it purports to do, which is filling in and printing out names, dates, and amounts on single checks. This program doesn’t create checks - you supply the checks. It simply gives you a method to use your printer to fill in your existing checks. It likely won’t work out of the box, as you will need to customize the template to fit the design of your checks. But you can print out a template with gridlines and then adjust the position of elements to fit your check’s design.
This was the solution I needed, as I have arthritis in my hands and often cannot legibly fill out checks. Simple program that makes my life better. 5 stars!
Works for me
I honestly took a leap of faith with this one. Here is the thing, you need to spend time aligning and configuring your checks for the app to be useful. If you think that this is going to magically start printing checks perfectly the first time around forget it, would will become immensely frustyrated. You are going to need to spend at least about an hour (at least that's how long it took me). After that was smooth sailing all the way. This is one situation where I am glad I did not base my actions on the reviews. This app continues to serve me well.
