Pris: A Unique Mobile Camera
By Digital Arch
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
A creative moment happens when your camera is no longer in the way. Pris provides what you need to get the perfect shot and nothing else. Don't hunt for the button; Stay focused on the moment.
* Pris is Simple
Tap the screen to take a picture, or swipe the histogram to switch into video recording. Another swipe lets you review your photos, then share via Instagram™ or export them to your photo album.
* Pris is Unique
When held upright, you can shoot intimate square videos and photos (perfect for sharing). Turn Pris on its side and you can shoot panoramic stills or cinema-ready film in the classic 2.35:1 aspect ratio. You can use it to film the next great masterpiece or add a little drama to your home videos. Whichever way you choose to hold Pris, you'll add a unique perspective to the moment.
* Pris is Professional
A real-time luminosity histogram means you can fine tune your exposure in camera. Streamlined focus and exposure controls allow greater creative control while shooting. Improved gesture shortcuts means you do more with less button mashing.
With Pris, you'll never take your eyes off the moment again.

What's New in Version 1.0.2
- Fixes for iOS6 compatibility
- Added original date and digitized date to the EXIF data of exported photos.
- Increased performance and UI responsiveness.
So, I've been struggling with this app every since I updated to iOS 6.0 beta. It seemed that whenever I tried to export a photo the photo would fail to export to my library and it would be purged from Pris… so no more photo. Pretty lame. When updating another camera app I read something that lead me to poke around my settings a bit a solve the first issue. In your privacy>photos option you need to enable Pris.
Now don't get me wrong this does not solve everything, most notably it doesn't solve the complete lack of communication from the developer. Some feedback from them pointing us to this solution would have gone a long way. Perhaps some indication that an update was in the works?
Also having the original photos vanish for every is complete BS.
All that being said, I can finally export my photos form this app again… hooray for small victories!
Note to the dev: You really need to get on the ball. If you don't have time to fix this, pass the app on to me. I've been dealing with a lot of similar things am sure I could have it sorted in an afternoon or two.
Great Idea, but useless
This app has a great design to it, and can do cool thing like moving the focus and exposure around manually. I cannot export videos or pictures with any consistency. It always says "export complete" even when it fails (which is 85% of the time), but when you go to your camera roll - nothing! Go back to Pris and the shot is gone! So, don't waste your time until the developer fixes it.
Doesn't work right, and bad support
In landscape mode, if tilted so the home button is on the left, manual exposure works opposite from how it should work. In fact, it works opposite from how it works when tilted the opposite way. I e-mailed the developer and got a response, but several months and a couple of updates later the problem persists. I've deleted this app and won't lose any sleep over it. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
