Ads and Interface nightmare
What I like about this app is that it literally gives you control to every built in function of your camera.
However, it's a nightmare to use it. The design seems most arbitrary with buttons splattered all over the screen. Often you don't know if you're in video or photo mode until you look real carefully, you click on certain parameters and nothing happens but to change those you actually have to go to submenus.
But my main complaint really is greed. How is it that you pay for an app and then you have to endure advertisement like the splash screen? Not only does the splash screen come up when you open the app for the first time, every time you use the shortcut on your widget you also greeted by their splash screen at first. I just don't support greed for something I paid for. Remove the nonsensical splash screens, clean up the interface and this could potentially be a five star program.
Oh, and one more thing: often you have to type in the passcode to access the program from the widget. This of course defeats the purpose of having a widget for quick access
Best Photo Taking App. Period.
I cannot begin to express how incredible this app is. Nearly every feature you could want from a professional camera app is here. There are hundreds of ways to configure settings and then simply save as a preset. With Apple's latest devices, a 3D press opens a list of presets. Simply put, you take better photos faster.
HDR, lowlight, video, utilizing two cameras, additional anti-shake, white balance, grids, focus, exposure, shutter, EXIF data, geo-tagging, RAW, levels, etc. The list goes on and on.
I can only think of a few remaining features that haven't been added, but I'm sure will appear in time. Panoramic stitching, double (multiple) exposure overlay, and video zebras for overexposure.
This app is a steal at it's price as it unlocks so many incredible features with a few simple taps. I'm always looking forward to the next update!
HDR coming to iPhone 7
I was skeptical at first whether this would improve on the built-in camera app, but it really does. Lots of great shooting modes, like the HDR mode which is amazing. When I switched to my new iPhone 7, oddly the HDR mode disappeared. After some digging, I read that the app developer is in the process of calibrating this feature to the new iPhone 7 and will roll it out soon. I'm excited to get the feature!
