• Quickly and easily customizable – everything from the vocabulary to the appearance
• Designed for a range of fine-motor and visual skills with options like 23 pre-programmed grid sizes
• Use your regional vocabulary and accent with British, Australian and American English, Parisian and Canadian French, Castilian and American Spanish, and Dutch and Flemish. The app also supports bilingual use, and you can even switch languages mid-sentence

Research-based
Proloquo2Go puts the user’s development first with features based on clinical knowledge and user research. Studies show that just 200-400 words make up 80% of what we say – known as core words. Combined with best practices like modeling, teaching core words has been shown to grow language and communication skills. Our Crescendo™ vocabulary is based on this insight and puts core words front and center for easy access.
Grows communication skills
Proloquo2Go is one of the few AAC apps designed to support all users, from beginning to advanced. This lets someone develop from single words to full grammatical sentences in the same app. With over 10,000 words available, there’s no limit on what you can say. Our Progressive Language feature reveals words step by step. This helps communicators learn words and their location as their vocabulary gradually grows.
Research has shown that consistent placement of objects supports easy recognition, known as motor planning. With this in mind, Proloquo2Go's thematic templates keep core words in the same places throughout the vocabulary. This helps communicators by reducing time wasted trying to find words.
Easy customization and accessibility
Buttons, pages, navigation and access - the whole app is customizable. With just a few taps, you can make it suit both vocabulary and accessibility needs. For the most important things to you, you can add your own buttons. The app comes with more than 25,000 symbols for new words – but you can use your own photos too. Accessibility settings support scanning and Apple’s VoiceOver, for users with fine-motor challenges and vision impairments. These make the app work with how you’re comfortable using it.
Comprehensive support
With Proloquo2Go, you get more than an app – we’re there for you every step of the way. Our website has free e-learning videos and PDF tutorials, and the Assistiveware Core Word Classroom includes resources for using AAC effectively. You can also connect directly with our AAC community on our Facebook groups. And for any questions you might have, our support team is available by email 7 days a week, and is always happy to help.
This update fixes a few minor bugs related to grammar. It also makes it possible to delete iCloud backups directly from the app. Thanks for using the app!
5.5
This update introduces the first genuine Dutch Text to Speech voices by and for children, Merel and Thijs. We spent nearly a year creating these voices in collaboration with Acapela Group and NSGK, and we’re very happy to be able to offer young Dutch AAC users voices which they can identify with.
The voices are included in this update for all Proloquo2Go users and can easily be used along voices in other languages for bilingual users. The children’s voices also add another level to Proloquo2Go’s support for the Netherlands and Belgium, with region-specific vocabularies and 9 adult Text to Speech voices - 4 Dutch and 5 Flemish.
This version also includes improvements from version 5.4: • iPhone X compatibility • Backups over 4GB can now be restored
Thanks for using our app!
5.4
This update makes Proloquo2Go compatible for users of the new iPhone X. It also makes it possible to restore large backups over 4GB.
Thanks for using Proloquo2Go!
5.3
In Version 5.3, we’re expanding Proloquo2Go to add support for Dutch-speaking users. We spent about a year researching Dutch core words, grammar and language development. Proloquo2Go now supports both the Netherlands and Belgium with region-specific vocabularies and 9 Text to Speech voices - 4 Dutch and 5 Flemish.
The vocabulary can be configured for English, French, Dutch and Spanish. Bilingual users will love how easily Proloquo2Go addresses their needs in the other supported languages. The app can switch between languages instantly, and even mix languages mid-sentence. The vocabulary retains the same organization across languages, making skills like navigation and categorization easily transferable between languages.
To add a second language, go to Options to find the Speech and Language section. From there, choose Manage Languages to add your second language. To switch between languages while you’re using the app, open the Tools popup. Then tap the Languages button to switch to the other language you’ve set.
This update also includes the new features recently introduced in version 5.2: • Optimized for the new iOS 11 • Optimized support for 10.5” iPad
Thanks for using our app!
5.2.1
This update fixes a bug some users were experiencing after updating to iOS 11. If you have this version, now when you’re typing, you can easily choose the word you were looking for. A few users also reported seeing buttons they’d previously hidden while searching – this is now fixed.
This update also includes the new features recently introduced in version 5.2: • Optimized for the new iOS 11 • Improved vision accessibility: adjust your preferred text size in Settings app and see your choice reflected in Proloquo2Go options and edit mode • Apple Watch app enhancement: the screen no longer dims when you flick your wrist to show text to your communication partner • Optimized support for 10.5” iPad
Thanks for using our app!
5.2
Proloquo2Go 5.2 is optimized for the new iOS 11, with additional accessibility features. New features include: • Dynamic Type to change user interface font size in menus and settings • Flip mode feature for Apple Watch • Support for 10.5” iPad This version also includes minor bug fixes. With this update, the minimum supported iOS version is increased to 10.3, and watchOS increased to 3.3.
5.1.1
This minor update includes two bug fixes: • When a button with an image is pasted, it disappears after the app is closed and corrupts the backup • Due to changes by Dropbox, backups from another device sometimes don't show up in Proloquo2Go
5.1
This version addresses a bug that affected the automatic backup feature introduced in version 5.0. The option to manually export individual backups has been restored in Proloquo2Go 5.1.
This update also includes all the major new features Proloquo2Go 5.0 recently introduced:
Search has been on the wish list of our community and of everyone at AssistiveWare for a long time. After thorough investigation of the different ways of implementing, we think it is even better than you expected. The new Search feature has been designed with a clinical perspective; not only will you see the path to the button you’re looking for, Proloquo2Go will also guide you through the path step-by-step. If the searched button is located in your Storage, it will automatically be added to the user’s vocabulary.
To make sure the user’s language skills grow and the user doesn’t become stuck at the same vocabulary, we have introduced switching between levels and grid sizes within the same vocabulary in Proloquo2Go 4. Changing the grid size unfortunately isn’t ideal for the user. As locations of buttons move, the person needs to re-learn how to find words. To make sure users reach their full potential, we recommend hiding buttons and gradually revealing them as user skills grow. However, this is a time-consuming and complicated task. What if Proloquo2Go does this automatically? Our new Progressive Language feature helps to quickly and systematically hide and reveal buttons in a developmental sequence.
The biggest nightmare for all professionals, parents and users: something happens to the app or device, and then realizing that a backup was never made. Fortunately, with Proloquo2Go 5’s automatic backups to Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud, saving a backup is one less thing you have to worry about!
Other improvements: • Adds Text to Speech to Proloquo2Go for Apple Watch, which allows you to not only show your message to your communication partner but also speak the message out loud • New Tools Pop-up for easy access to actions like copy/paste, switching languages and Search • Several small enhancements and bug fixes
As always this update is free for existing users.

This version also includes the new features recently introduced in version 4.4:
Version 4.4 adds full French support to Proloquo2Go, developed in collaboration with French and Canadian AAC experts. The app offers a Parisian French and a Canadian French vocabulary. All the powerful features that current users may already be familiar with are also available in the French version of Proloquo2Go:

The vocabulary can be configured for English, Spanish or French. To support bilingual users the vocabulary can also be used in Canadian English and French, or North-American English and Spanish. Users are able to switch between the languages instantly, and even mix languages mid-sentence. Now AAC users that are immersed in different languages at home, work or school will have the opportunity to develop their communication abilities in both English and Spanish and more effectively communicate through all aspects of their lives.

Crucial app
Tyger 500
My granddaughter is essentially non-verbal. For years, 11 to be exact, we have tried to give her a voice. We thought because she can repeat that she would eventually began to talk. To our dismay it did not happen. Finally with the advice from a girlfriend I decided she needed a communication device. I purchased a iPad mini and loaded Proloquo2Go on it. She is picking it up fairly well to my delight. This program on the recommended intermediate is so expansive. I love how you can customize it. I wish I had done this years ago because we would be on a better speech ground by now. Please to all who have similar circumstances do not delay whether the child has speech or not make the worthwhile purchase of a speech program. This program is certainly affordable and can be utilized into adulthood!!

We have been using this app for 7 years and love it! We appreciate how easy it is to program and use. I researched for several months before making the purchase for home use. This was the highest recommended at the time. Our son is 20 and non verbal unless prompted to say something. He quickly figured out he could make food and beverage choices which was very motivating for him. We even have it programmed for fast food choices. He also uses it to select leisure activity choices. I highly recommend this app! Our previous device was heavy, slow to start and cost $7,000. The iPad, app and protective case was well under $1,000.
