Not worth one star- much less $30
google allows you to download patent pdfs for free; you don’t need an app for that. The one thing this app says it can do, which google can’t do, is a “get first page only” option. That option would be quite handy for patent searching - BUT IT DOESN’T WORK. More precisely, it only works for the most recent 50 patents. So, if you want to search for patents relating to bicycle brakes, for example, you only get to most recent 50 patents. The older patents you'll need to download one by one. Which makes this app worse than google, because google at least makes it easy to jump between patents, and this app does not.
Holy (&^% it WORKS!
If you've ever tried to get patent information for the US patent office, it's a cumbersome ordeal. To make things worse, images stored in TIFF format do not seem to be compatible with the Quicktime viewer. This app downloads the entire patent with images, and renders as a PDF file that you can read on your system or iPad. IT IS TOTALLY WORTH THE $30 if you need such a thing!
Works flawless- great time saver
Works fast and beautiful - worth every penny.
If you deal with patents and the USPTO website - this app is a god sent.
