Asthma and COPD don’t have to hold you back. Breathe easier and move your life forward with Propeller.

Propeller is a FDA-cleared, CE-marked technology that works with existing asthma and COPD inhalers to help people understand their symptoms and gain control. We’ve created small sensors that simply clip onto your current inhalers. The sensors determine when you use your inhalers and send this information to the Propeller app. The Propeller app generates personalized insights and reminders to keep you on track. Propeller users experience more symptom-free days and up to 79% fewer asthma attacks.

Use Propeller to:
+ Automatically record when and where you take your inhaler so you can identify triggers and track your symptoms
+ Customize a schedule for controller medications to help you remember to take your medication on time
+ See personalized patterns, trends and tips for your asthma and COPD
+ Rate your asthma or COPD control over the last month with the Asthma Control Test (ACT) or the COPD Assessment Test (CAT)
+ See your adherence timeline
+ Check your Daily Asthma Forecast including pollutant, humidity and temperature details
+ Track a loved one’s inhaler use, triggers and symptoms

Needs a few tweaks.

So far, this is mostly working. The prevention med reminders are nice, and it syncs great. But it’s lowering my score for “nighttime events.” In reality, I’m a night shift worker, so, no, I’m not waking up with symptoms, I’m already awake at 3AM. If I used it at noon, that would be waking up with symptoms. So, it would be great to be able to set a schedule to let it know when I’m typically awake.

It would also be nice to have it disregard scheduled inhalations. My pulmonologist recommends taking a dose of my rescue inhaler immediately before a hard workout, and those are keeping me just out of having a “well-controlled” score.

The data is still useful to my doctor, who does know my schedule, and my exercise usage, but it would be fun to see the score reflect reality.

The Gospel Preacher

I generally don’t right many reviews, but have to make an exception for this one. I have had challenges understanding my triggers and managing my adult onset asthma. This app and the accompanying sensors make it very easy to track good and bad seasons, spot patterns, and be more proactive with my care providers. The developers are prompt when you send feedback or ask questions. I appreciate the emails and notifications when my asthma appears to be getting exasperated. I’d recommend this app to anyone who is needing help managing and understanding the challenges of asthma.

Good but could be GREAT

This a wonderful help with monitoring my son’s asthma and the daily reminders are wonderful for a young child who often distracted by the world around him.

I just wish for two things to be add.
1) Health App Sync would be amazing. Right now he has to add his inhaler usage manual into his iPhone (add this and it would be 5 Stars)
2) A way to list an asthma action plan. Part of my sons action plan is to use his rescue inhaler 3 times a day for 10 days. But the app wants to know the trigger each time. I would love for the app to know we are on an action plan 10 days so it’s not viewed as a rescue each time.
