Description
Proxy is a new way to experience the world around you.
Using bluetooth low energy technology, Proxy turns your iPhone into a personal transponder that emits a secure signal, allowing nearby office buildings, cafes, hotels and more to securely detect your physical presence and do useful things for you.
Some of the things you can do with Proxy:
- Unlock Proxy-enabled doors simply by walking up to them.
- Check in at events without pulling your wallet or phone out of your pocket.
- Check in at hotels by just walking in, and get into your room with just your phone.
A note on battery life:
We've spent a lot of time and effort ensuring that the location and BLE technology that powers Proxy is very power efficient. But, as with all apps of this type, please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
What's New in Version 2.2.1
We've made signification improvements heavily focused on making your proxy experience even better.
In 2.2.1 we made the following significant enhancements:
- offline support, now you no longer need to be bound to a reliable network connection for your proxy to work.
- OTA updates, now proxy device firmware can be updated through the app.
- battery usage, we've made a bunch of improvements to location usage to reduce battery usage even further.
- responsiveness, we've now made the detection more responsive by being smarter about how we detect your proxy signal.
- cleaner UI, we've made a bunch of UI tweaks to give you an even simpler experience.
- many bug fixes, with all the feedback we've been getting we've been able to squash many bugs. Thank you all that provided feedback and reported problems, they're invaluable to us. Keep em coming :)
