Puffin Web Browser is wicked fast. Once users experience the thrilling speed of Puffin, regular Mobile Internet feels like torture. Puffin Browser Pro is the premium version of the Puffin family. It is not ad-sponsored.
Wicked Fast: Puffin speeds up mobile browsing by shifting the workload from the resource-limited devices to the cloud servers, and resource-demanding webpages can run super-fast on your phones or tablets.
Cloud Protection: All traffic from Puffin app to Puffin server are encrypted, a protection from nearby hackers. It’s safe to use public non-secure WiFi through Puffin, but not safe at all for most browsers.
The Latest Flash: We keep improving our cloud servers, and provide the latest Flash support over the cloud.
Save Your Bandwidth: Puffin uses proprietary compression algorithm to transmit web data to your device, and it can save up to 90% of your bandwidth on regular web browsing. (Please be noted that streaming Flash content or videos requires more bandwidth than the normal usage.)

What's New in Version 5.0.3
Thank you for all the valuable feedback. We fixed several reported issues in this release.
We will continue to build awesome apps for you. If you like our work, please give us a 5 star rating!
Working back from bad "upgrade", but - virtual trackpad!
[Edited for 5.03] I got this at version 4 for daily work with web sites that only provide mouse support for text selection, and would give that version five stars and downgrade to it in a minute if I could. Version 4's external keyboard arrow key support is still gone. Mouse pointer and cursor positioning breaks after scrolling a text box when an external keyboard is attached, and don't try to use the delete key on a hard return on the first line of a text box. The decision to put the control bar in a slider at the bottom of the screen where it covers up content and gets covered up by the keyboard (instead of say an icon in the tool bar at the top) makes for a whole lot of clunky. But if you need a virtual trackpad this is still your app.
5.03 Update --
Improvements and bugs supposedly addressed are nowhere listed in this update. It is obviously a ratings reset. It's still the same horrible redesign with incredibly irritating UI and missing functionality. Version 4.x WAS a five-star app, hence the tremendous disappointment registered by veteran users which, sadly, is being ignored.
Update to original review --
Customizations still missing, bookmarks still open new tab, menu floater at bottom still there in the way, address bar still stupidly messy to deal with, self-congratulatory bandwidth counter still appears prominently everywhere. It's terrible UI design, taking no thought for actual use. This last quick update was obviously rushed out to reset the 2-star rating. Very, very disappointing after several years of quality, user-oriented work. Dropped to 1 star from 2.
--- Original 5.0 review
Major borking of a good browser. It's obvious the devs got caught up in cute at the expense of functional. Most customization options are gone. Bookmarks always open new tab. Big menu tab locked at bottom is distracting at best, often infuriating. Cute slippy-slidey address bar is unintuitive and hides most of the tabs you have open (and you're gonna have a LOT open). Sadly, it's bad enough to send me back to the loathsome Safari.
Update: Still bad. So-called upgrade TOTALLY destroyed what was great about version 4 and changed the app completely. How can they even let it keep the same name? Five star ratings are either shills or basic users who would be wowed by Safari. Crap updates to reset rating and silence the voices of disgruntled former users don't count. Don't be fooled.
New update is beyond bad. Why can't I get rid of the task bar and Web address box? No more full screen. No more customization. Not cool. What was the best browser has been completely ruined. Easily the worst update to any app I have ever seen. I'll be moving on. BTW, Puffin NEVER answers emails to them so if you have any feedback or technical questions, too bad. I also think that these five star reviews of the current version that have suddenly popped up are phony!
