Puzzlejuice takes all of the elements of your favorite puzzle games and puts it into one convenient brightly colored package!

This game was designed to challenge both your spatial and verbal abilities and if you don’t feel overwhelmed then you might not be human. It’s a puzzle that will keep you hooked.

Multicolored BLOCKS constantly fall from the top of the screen and it’s up to you to arrange them. Once you complete a row with these blocks they will turn into LETTERS! The only way to clear out these blocks is to spell WORDS. Oh and also you can MATCH COLORS—that will make letters too.

Test your endurance by seeing how long you can withstand the downpour. Complete objectives to unlock POWERUPS that will make you life easier as the game gets harder!

Don't have a lot of time? Great! This mode is Zen because the blocks don't fall, so you don't have to worry about them piling to the top. This mode is EXTREME because you ONLY HAVE 90 SECONDS.

"LOCAL" MULTIPLAYER: There's a lot to do in this game so it's great to play with friends! One of you can sort the blocks while the others look for words. Divide and CONQUER.

PICTURE-IN-PICTURE: We've packed the same experience into both the iPhone and iPad, but we know that phones are small and thumbs are big, so when you start spelling a word on the phone, a preview pops up to show the letters underneath your fingers!

GAME CENTER: Challenge your friends or try to become the world's best Puzzlejuice Master!

DICTIONARY: Spell a word and don't know what it means? No problem, double-tap on a word to look it up.

FOREIGN LANGUAGES: Play the game in English, Spanish, French, Italian, or Dutch!

COLORBLIND SUPPORT: We've got you covered.

It’s not your mother’s word game; it has balls. Brass balls. Puzzlejuice is for closers.

What's New in Version 1.6.1

Hey guys!

This is a small update. It only adds two things:
+ Working Twitter functionality in iOS6+
+ A link to our new game

The new game is called THREES. It's a tiny puzzle that'll grow on you. You may have heard a squawk or two on Twitter about it, we think it's pretty special. We've spent over a year on this tiny little puzzle game, agonizing over all the details until it felt perfect. Please take a look and let us know if you like it!

As always, none of my games will ask you for a review, so please take a moment and re-review puzzlejuice if you're still enjoying it :)

A Great Game on Par With Threes

If you like Tetris and other word search/spell games (such as Spelltower), this will be right up your alley. It's great fun, and has interesting gameplay - combining the shape-matching challenge of Tetris or Columns with the need to spell words in resulting letter rows (when you create a solid row) to ultimately make the rows disappear. It does get to be little tricky rather quickly, so you'll want to be up for some fast thinking and multitasking. I've noticed that some folks have remarked that it gets stressful, which can certainly be a fair assessment in many senses, because it does require you to essentially manage two puzzles simultaneously. The game really stretches you to use different skills at once - if you're itching for a challenge and are not too easily frustrated - you'll love it. I certainly enjoy the fact that it makes me balance two challenges at one time. For that reason, in fact, the game is always fun and seems to constantly be "renewed" with new challenges. The only complaint I have seems to be the same as others - you're unable to use the keyboard to enter your name and save data. (That's a pretty minor quibble though.)

Too stressful!

The reason I play puzzle games is to relax. Yes, I read the "punch your brain" description, but I didn't realize that simply translated to mean "timer hell." There's a reason many developers offer a "zen mode," and it's because without one, people like me would never play games at all.

This game's zen mode removes the dropping blocks, but adds a countdown timer to the whole game. How "zen" is that? News flash: If puzzle gamers enjoyed that kind of stress, we'd be platform gamers, too, but most are not, and this is why. We want to relax and think, not have something bombarding or pressuring us into action. That's not excitement; it's stress!

I'm disappointed, because I was looking forward to this game. My fault; I should have watched it online first. I hardly spent any time making words because I was too stressed over the falling blocks or timer. Bummer.

-2 stars for not considering your audience. Why not remove the timer from zen mode so everyone can be happy?

Interesting, if flawed, game

Threes was perfect.

This game takes the world of Threes and adds Tetris. Then, it adds words. Then it adds power ups. More isn't always better. The elements all feel good on their own, but sloppy controls make for some frustrating failures. Swipes can grab letters or slam pieces down by mistake.

Also, it's just not fun on the iphone. The letters are too small to accurately spell words. I don't even have beefy fingers. I have delicate little spaghetti-like digits. This is the first app that made me feel like I was slapping sausages at my screen.

Also, you can't write your name for high scores. But, that's obvious.

Update: Played the iPad version. It’s worse. The controls are even sloppier. Mistakes I make against a fair challenge make a game fun. Block slamming when I mean to move them and vice versa just makes a game not fun to play.
