Same issues as many others here

4th try to post

The problems of not starting up when I open the system on my iPad are the same as many other viewers. It used to be so much more responsive. Now there are times when I cannot get it to start up at all - it says "offline" there should be no reason for this. My internet is working fine but this just spins its little circles - VERY FRUSTRATING and dangerous when I am relying on to show me if there is a problem I need to respond to.
I have not updated my iPad to the latest update and now it sounds like it can potentially make the problem even worse.
This is not an easy fix or inexpensive on our side being the system is all hard wired with proprietary components and wires. I thought that would be a plus - turns out some of your customers are still yours because we are stuck - I also thought Costco, where I purchased it from, would carry this system because it is reliable. Now I'm not so sure. I will be passing my concerns along to them. I hope this is just a temporary issue because of all of the latest changes Apple has made and your company is working nonstop to fix this.
The picture from your cameras are good - when they work- so I am hoping this is all resolved soon.
The fact that many of these reviews are a few months old however is rather disconcerting - in other words why are we still having these same issues?

Works great

This is my second Q-See system. My first one was installed in 2009 and worked great till I upgraded it to the 900TVL 16 channel system.

I had briefly installed a similar spec Swann system and replaced it after six months. I put it in because it came out two months prior to the equivalent Q-See model. Too many Swann app deficiencies and UI was not friendly. On top of it they don't have a PC/windows app. Only mobile. Wasted money. Should have waited.

The Q-See app is user friendly and comes up instantly. The app has many features- everything I needed. Record replay search and general live viewing. You can also store multiple IP addresses based login - I have one for LAN and one for WAN.

The clarity on the mobile devices is much better than Swann and certainly a marked improvement from the old Q-See 2316 model I had from 2009.

The windows application is excellent. It doesn't consume much CPU bandwidth either. The clarity that I see on my home LAN is markedly better than the mobile app - and for obvious reasons. I'm using a combo of the Swann cameras, which I couldn't replace because it's too high, and Q-See cameras. I see no difference in image quality.

Finally I've placed it in the garage. I was a little apprehensive about the heat during afternoon. My garage does get hot but the system has worked fine. It's now been nearly two years - whenever they released the system.

Completely worthless app!

I’ve had my system since August 2015 and it’s always worked fine. My father in law installed the same system around the same time at his home and again, always worked fine until IOS 11 came out and we both have had nothing but connection issues ever since then. We both have each others systems logged into our app but once in a blue moon (and I can’t stress that enough) it will connect but not always to both houses, sometimes one or the other. Between all our Apple devices we have 11 devices (iPhones and iPads) and every single one has connection issues. We have iPhone 7’s and 8’s and 2 iPad mini 1st gen, 1 iPad mini 2 and 2 iPad 5th generation and each one has problems with this app only! This has been an ongoing issue since iOS 11 and it’s starting to get aggravating. We recently went on a trip to Disney for a week and not once could I access my or my in laws cameras while we were down there. I may have to install another brand if this doesn’t get fixed soon!
