It is calming, which I love. I hate playing games under pressure or a time limit. It feels really good when you finally solve a really hard level. I recommend going through all the levels first, and THEN going back to the beginning, and re-play all the levels trying to solve them in the perfect amount of moves. It felt kinda like a new game, because I had forgotten how I solved some of the levels, and I had to figure it out all over again before I can try to do it in the least amount of moves. Another recommendation: Don't give up too quickly and ask for the answer. Sleep on it, and the next day you'd be surprised how differently you see the puzzle. I regretted my first two give-ups. They were premature, and the solution was simple. It would have been nice to figure it out on my own. Overall, I recommend this game if you like the slow pacing and puzzle-solving.
Fun but what's the point at the end?
Fun to try to figure out. Strategy is made more clear as you advance along the levels. It is possible to complete without buying anything. Just persevere and you'll earn enough coins to buy help when you need it. I didn't understand the point of earning the gems, though. I expected them to have some significance. Also did not "get" the point of the dates on the locked boxes as I progressed. There seems to be mystery that has no meaning overlaid onto the challenges. Is it supposed to signify something?
Favorite game! Like chess/physics combo game
I don't play many iPhone games, and my exceptions are often word games, physics games, and logic/strategy puzzle games. This is a great strategy and planning game- lots of well explained challenge elements and tons of levels with help you can earn if you get really stuck. I started playing Quell Memento and after I obsessively got every level to perfection I had to download and start playing. Highly recommended.
