Just what i needed!

Simple and easy.

Benign Toxicity

Simple, clean and does exactly what's required

Despite one small issue* I've given this five starts because it's lightweight, simple and does exactly what it says. I'm still one of these people that keep a pen and paper on his desk to take quick notes (for example a product or link that's mentioned in a podcast I'm listening to). This may well break me of that bad habit! I had tried to use sticky notes on the dashboard for that, but it didn't really work as the space was limited and there was a procedure to go through if you ran out of blank notes... plus they eroded my screen real-estate too quickly! This pops-up quickly and lets me change an existing note, or implement a new one easily... it doesn't get in my way. The promised Dropbox support will be great!

*My one minor caveat is that it doesn't let itself be dragged between my screens perfectly. I run three screens, one to the left of the main (about 15 feet away), and one directly above the main. I can drag the notepad to the remote left screen with no problem, but I cannot drag it upwards to the top screen... it doesn't seem to be able to break through the menu bar. It's a small issue, but sometimes I'd like to park an open note on my top screen.

Worse Application with so many possibilities

I loved the idea of this application and used this for a week. Then I thought my notes were backed up locally but negative so as I got a little upset and found you could sync with Diigo or whatever the cloud is I created an account. Well then after thirty syncs I lost all my notes and it started all over as this time I had over 30+ notes for school and application ideas. I am a new program developer that really liked this app but now I'm on a mission to make a notes app that is so much better and will let you save your notes and sync them between devices. I love notes on Mountain Lion but there room for more and seeing a application like this I know I can create a much better application. I give you credit for creating this app but come on stop giving away apps just so you can sell a cloud service of 20 bucks a year. Lastly my app will connect to iCloud and you will only pay once for the app. Thanks All and again I don't mean to be complaining but wow I lost so many notes and being a nice guy I gave this app and so many a chance but all they seem to do is try to get you to purchase a service and give you a crap application.
