Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
QuickReader helps iOS users in scanning, editing scanned text and managing documents. The application supports multiple-page processing in both PDF and editable text TXT formats (the accuracy of the OCR is around 90-95 % for clear pages with font 11). The pages could be edited before scan (brightness, contrast, color balance, auto enhancement, drawings addition, text addition, image cropping, image rotation, ...). The generated files will be saved for the user for future use, and at any time the user will be able to edit, open, print, email and delete files.
I like the edit feature, it allows the addition of handwritings and text to a pdf document, moreoever the multipage option is so useful when selecting existing pages from the camera roll.
Bills comments on QR
Just downloaded it and its not worth the 99 cents. I tried to scan via picture of a simple document on my desk under normal room light and then with brighter lighting. Poor quality of scanned data. It would be easier just to retype the whole document rather than adjust and correct the scanned copy. I too not recommend this.
Terrible for an iPad 2
Works miserably for an iPad 2. Might be okay with an iPad 3. Would be nice to use saved images as well as from the camera. iPhone with a decent camera would probably be fine but for < iPad 3 you should take a pass.
