Quick Tunes lets you quickly and easily control your music playing in iTunes from the menu bar. It shows the artwork, name and artist in the menu heading so that you can always quickly see what is playing. Player controls for play/pause, skip and previous track can also be included right in the status bar so you always have quick access to them. When opened, the menu shows a larger version of the artwork and more track details.
The currently playing song can be paused, skipped or rated directly from the Quick Tunes menu, and the shuffle and repeat modes of the current playlist can easily be set.
Quick Tunes also shows all recently played tracks and albums, and allows you to quickly replay them simply by selecting them in the menu.
Quick Internet searches for lyrics and information on the currently playing track can easily be performed using the track info menu.

Great companion to iTunes
This version fixes the two gripes I had with the previous iteration, which would not display artwork for a small number of albums and which had a bit of a lag when switching or pausing tracks. These issues resolved, it's an essential app; 5 stars easily. Always perfectly stable, unobtrusive, handy way to manage the music I always have running.
Doesn't launch; no support
Upon launch, I get a "Your iTunes library can't be found or is empty. Please relaunch when you have at least one item in your library". My iTunes library has 67,000 songs, so that isn't a problem. No support or even mention of the softwrae at the web page links given here. Lousy program, lousy nonexistant support. Worst puchase I've made from the app store ever.
Didn’t believe the reviews. Figured, hey it’s worth a buck since it looked most like the now orphaned “You Control Tunes” which i used for years and loved.
Kiss that dollarino goodbye. Won’t launch. Save your dollar. Buy a coffee instead
