I've tried various methods to stop smoking over the last 40 years. Started when I was 11 years old now 52. I now feel I can say I?m a non-smoker. It's all down to "My Last Cigarette" Every morning I turn on my PDA to have a look how many cigarettes I've not smoked. That sets me up for another day without one. If this government is serious about reducing the number of smokers it should by this software and give free on the National Health. In my Lifetime I've smoked 433590 cigarettes but more importantly I've not smoke 4043 since I stopped on July 27th this year. Do yourself a favour buy this software."

I love it
I have been smoking for 30 years and have now not smoked for 30 days. I don’t think the app is the magic bullet that made it happen but it has certainly helped. There is a lot of positive support but the negative reminders are most effective. The daily pictures can scare the hell out of you. I don’t want to be the content of a “picture of the day” because I smoked myself to an early death! Don’t let your brain fool you into cheating the system while you are cutting back. That has always been my failing point, especially when I get down to just a few butts a day. This tim I just said to hell with it and quit altogether a few days before my planned quit date. Good luck everyone, I hope we can all beat this!!! 😀

I use it less frequently now but looked at it very very very frequently in the early minutes, hours, days and weeks of quitting. Super useful reminder. My big suggestion would be to separate short and long term indicators. For example nicotine is out of system quickly so the graph goes green but lung condition will stay red for a long time. Be nice to have some interim measures. E.g. Breathing capacity or stamina something other than all green and most red. Also, commas would be useful as you hit thousands of cigarettes not smoked and dollars saved.

This app, is the reason I stayed quit
I was a smoker for 20+ years. I’ve “quit” on numerous occasions, but this app is what has helped me QUIT for good. Just opening the app and seeing the active counter of how many cigarettes I haven’t smoked and the counter of days down to the hour that I’ve been a nonsmoker; is a huge motivation and nudges you to stay quit even if will power is slipping. Waiting for all of the meters to “go green” is also a big motivator to stay quit. The “daily pic”, although repeated, is another nice addition. Thanks MLC. You’ve helped me as well as my family.
