Happy April Rabbit Fam!
We’ve been sowing the seeds for some spectacular bug fix and feature flowers including:
-The ability to find friends by searching for their name or username, so you can find the Real Housewives to watch with
-A layout issue with our public rooms on certain phones so you’re ready for the White Walkers
-Some under the hood updates to keep things running as smooth as Willy Wonka’s chocolate
Happy Watching and as always, there’s more good on the way!
Ratings and Reviews
i made the mistake to update the app today and to my horror, everything was completely different. rabbit has been becoming more and more frustrating. actually, rabbit has become invasive. not only does it notify people of when you start up a rabbitcast, despite having your room locked, but it also informs them what you’re watching AND makes a public post about it without your knowledge. that’s a complete invasion of privacy in my book.
now as for the newest version, each update, rabbit gets worse and worse. it’s as if the developers want people to stop using the website/app. the only good thing about this update is that i can see my activity and erase any automated post that is made. i used to be able to drag the cursor wherever i wanted to when i would be on control mode, but now, i can only click the place i want the cursor to be in order to move it, which is SUPER inconvenient and frustrating. please do something about that and bring back the feature to drag the cursor. the ability to unable the microphone and camera in my room completely is also gone, as well, which was something i used to do and want back. i think that’s it for now. rabbit used to be a good app, but the quality has dropped majorly compared to 2 updates ago. i sincerely hope you do something about this, because i use the application almost daily.
A confusing and relatively pointless update
I don’t understand this at all, the app worked perfectly fine beforehand. This update has only served to make it next to impossible to use, while also breaking compatibility between mobile and desktop (groups are not available yet on desktop but are the only option on mobile). The new feature of groups in general feels mostly pointless since I already have Discord and Steam to coordinate and chat, plus most others will likely be using some form of group messaging service already—including the ones already built into the firmware of the phone...
I wouldn’t have minded this update anywhere near as much if old features like the friends list weren’t killed off in favor of groups, which is so confusing because them coexisting seems perfectly sensible to me, and honestly, it’d be way more functional; I wouldn’t have to leave the app in order to invite people to groups.
What you’ve done is effectively wipe the connections I’ve already made with my friends, meaning I have to go through the whole song-and-dance of readding them via dozens of one-on-one groups.
The awful, dirty little cherry on top of this whole ordeal is invites don’t even work anymore, all they do is ping me with a notification, a notification mind you that *never goes away*. Incredibly disappointing, I’m sorry to say.
When will you listen?
Can you just go back to the old version, please. So many people have said this and you guy just don't seem to be listening. You’ve made it such a pain to use the app on ipad and iphone. When in landscape mode on ipad, you are not able to chat at all unless the device is being held vertically. So the only option you have is to hold it vertically and have a smaller picture. There used to be the option of swiping the screen or something to bring up the chat history but that is no longer an option. I dont want to have to hold my ipad vertically for hours just because I want to chat with my friends and see what they have to say. Do something about that, please. There’s also the whole group function which is a fun idea and all but where you went wrong is taking away the option to just have a private room. Did anyone think about the fact that if you wanted to have private rooms with tons of different people you would end up with a mess of groups and stuff?
The main point is: can you start actually listening to your consumers and give us back the original app or something close to it? All these updates have done more harm than good.
