Worst-performing video app ever.

Video frequently freezes and degrades in quality, even when you’ve confirmed via Speedtest that you have an adequate high-speed connection, whether Wi-Fi or cellular, and when other video apps work just fine. Its latest behavior is to un-sync video and audio, layer two audio streams atop each other, skip back and forth between the broadcast and the video, and log you out after a few days when you haven’t used the app. This is in addition to the fact that the app repeats commercials ad nauseam and doesn’t allow you to buy access separately from your TV provider. MSNBC, please get with the program! Get a new team of developers, or a modern IT infrastructure, or something. This performance is so awful that I’ve just deleted the app from my iPhone and my iPad. I never write reviews but this latest inexcusable performance has set me over the edge.

Terrible mobile app mirrors the weaknesses of AppleTV app

Let’s start with the AppleTV NBC News app. You switch to MSNBC and you get 3-minute clips chopped out of three days worth of news shows. Who watches news that way? I’d want to see 45 minutes straight of the Rachel Maddow Show, but it’s not available. Luckily, MSNBC content streams into the AppleTV cleanly with no hiccups at all. Yay, Apple servers.

Okay, maybe the MSNBC mobile app for iPhone will do better. Nope. What the TV app does well, the mobile app stumbles over. Sure you can live stream an entire show (because access to the prerecorded shows are delayed 24 hours), but it stops and starts every few minutes to buffer, interrupting the flow of the broadcast and cutting off discussions. Oh, and you can’t even live stream without a cable subscription anyway.

Add to that the fact that NBC seems to sell advertising blocks in one-month segments and you hear the same five grating ads eight times per episode, every show, every day, for weeks. It’s enough to make you toss your TV out the window. May I please kill pop artist Halsey now?

Both NBC apps are terrible in their own unique ways. Let’s just go back to watching cable TV. At least that way you can record it and fast forward through the commercials.

Honest and to the point.

This is where you get the facts, truth, and are allowed to come to your own conclusions regarding current events. Unlike Fox whose sexist and racist cast of unpatriotic characters live by “alternative facts” aka lies and bs!! The only people still watching that crap are the uneducated, cult following psychopaths living in fear of the next conspiracy theory put out by the Alt Right! They are all so pathetic and cowards to face the reality of what truth is. Any level headed person who sees through the bs from persons on the right are best served to stop wasting your time trying to reach these pea brained idiots. Hopefully one day they’ll all crawl back into the holes they came out of. 🖕🏽
