Rail Planner offers everything you need to help plan your rail journey in Europe.
It provides offline timetable information for international European trains and
connections, simplifying cross-European travel.

Please note that some trains require a supplement and/or reservation which are not included in the price of your pass. Additionally, some private railway companies do not participate in the Eurail and Interrail Pass offer; a full price ticket is necessary to travel on those railways.

Once the Rail Planner app is downloaded you won't even need an internet connection, except when you use some special features. And there's more: extra benefits available with your Eurail or Interrail Pass will help you save money during your journey.

Some of the features:
- Seat reservation for some trains.
- Find train stations near your current position.
- Departure and arrival timetables for railway stations.
- Save your most frequent searches.
- Benefits for Eurail and Interrail Pass holders
Enjoy your trip!

Trip Planner and Timetable Sections:
Please note that only a few British stations and connections are available for search.

Seat reservation:
On some trains, a reservation is mandatory.
Other reservations are optional, but it may be a good idea to make one. Especially in the busy summer period to ensure you have a seat or can sit together with a group of friends. Or, for example, if you have a connecting route or flight on the other end and want to play it safe.

In general, reservations are required for:
- all European night trains
- most of the high-speed trains

Here's how to find out if a train needs to be reserved:
1. Go to the 'Trip Planner' section of the App.
2. Enter your departure and arrival stations, as well as your departure date and time.
3. Click on 'Find you train route' to view your different options for that route.
4. A 'R' symbol will show if a reservation is needed.
Note: In the 'Trip Planner' select 'Options' to filter by routes that do not require a reservation

Most trains, usually regional trains, don't need a reservation at all.
Just complete your travel report, hop on and enjoy the journey.

Terrible planning format

Shalhevet Shiphrah

The app is put forward as a planner, but as far as I can tell it doesn't actually help you plan whatsoever. You have to know the exact when and where (to the hour) to find a route - which if I had all that information, I wouldn't need any planning assistance. So far I haven't found a single route.

It would make a lot more sense to display routes leaving from a departure point on a given day for the person to select.

Fix your app before you put it on the market

Good until it hits a bump then forget using this app ever again. Trying to do some reservations for my trip and I lost connection part way through. This normal thing to happen while you're traveling right? You'd think the eurail app designer (I am guessing a chimp at the zoo) had never even thought this possible. I've deleted the app ten times in the last two days, done multiple hard resets on my phone, even put in a different SIM card. If I at all click on Italian reservations I get one of three of the lovely options: one blank screen, two request timed out, and just when I am about to leave like a bad gambler I get a page with some forms! Oh wait what's that none of the drop down menus have anything on them and when I click submit ding ding ding we're back to option 1 BLANK SCREEN. Really helpful guys let me tell you I was already so relaxed traveling through multiple countries this just made it that much easier( the last sentence is all sarcasm this app like I said above was likely made by a chimp at the zoo deciding to frustrate people instead of the other way around)

Eurail Made Easier

The Eurail Trip Planner Ap made planning a trip easier. What Eurail doesn't tell you is that most travel between countries is NOT covered by your Eurail Pass. It cost us another thousand dollars to go from country to country. Eurail "no good" the ticket agents said repeatedly. One ticket agent in Torino refused to let us on a train to get to Lyon or Paris for 3 days...he tried to tell us it would be 10, but his colleague intervened. And we paid for the ticket. Best advice is MAKE RESERVATIONS! The trains today are not the trains of 20 yeArs ago. The system is very different. We only found one instance where the train listed in the Ap was no longer running. Everything else was extremely accurate and useful. The next time we "train" in Europe, we will just pay for our tickets as we go. But I really like the Ap for' in your hand' information. Better than the Aps from SNCF and Trenitalia. Use the Eurail Ap!
