Constantly requires Google verification
Might have been a cool app. I’ll never know. I got slaughtered with constant requests from the Google “I’m not a robot” pop up. So I've installed RankGuru. More than once a day, every single day, I’d get a pop-up from Google showing RankGuru as the source, asking me to to do the silly match the pictures "I’m not a Robot" exercise. I’d complete the Google puzzle and then a couple hours later it would happen all over again. Ridiculous pain in the butt. So I deleted the app. And on that point, this app can’t easily be uninstalled either. You can do a search online to confirm that it will take a few extra steps to delete this insidious program. This could’ve been a decent app, but it was just too frustrating to deal with.

We're sorry to hear you had issues with our app!. We've just released a new version that has (a TON) of mechanisms to prevent the CAPTCHA alert.
If you're still using RankGuru, and still have any issues, by all means, please contact us.
Great for small keyword sets
This tool works great for the small sets of keywords I use it for. I currently use it to track search results on 3 to 5 keywords I select for each page I research. It works great for that and I love watching my results crawl up toward the top (and sometimes down).
Great for the price, slow for large batches. Some problems.
This app is great for the price. Most competing apps cost 15-20 times as much!
The good: this thing works. It returns daily search engine ranks, keeps track of things for you, and can export to spreadsheets. Keeps track of multiple keywords for multiple sites. Adding keywords is simple from text documents. Yay!
The bad: managing keywords is cumbersome and it’s slow at searching large sets. Also, it’s slow. If you’re doing research with large volumes of keywords, expect it to take hours to update. I just ran a batch of 1200 keyword combinations for an initial data spread for a client, and it took 48 hours to complete. I like to have large datasets to work with. This app can do it, but it takes a long time. Also, now I’m forced to either delete hundreds of those keywords one-by-one or delete all the data and import a fresh keyword set with no history. I’ll keep the data in Xcel, but it would be nicer to keep all the data in the app.
Update: After a month of using this, I have a few issues. First, This app is sending a huge number of automated inquiries to Google, which is against Google’s webmaster guidelines and has led to google blocking my network. Why not search with preferences saved to show 100 search results? Second, I’m traveling in India right now, and this app cannot check Google USA from India (and presumably other foreign countries). I was confused why my rankings were suffering, and that turned out to be the answer. I do SEO for work, and need to buy a new tool.
