Description

RavenStones is the first true rune divination app on the iPad, providing a completely freeform rune drawing experience, just like drawing runes from a bag.

Note, this app runs best on iPad 2. On iPad 1 it can run slower than it is intended to. We are working on this, and thought you should know before you buy.

Also note, the language of this app is only English. It is for sale in multiple iTunes stores worldwide, but the language supported is only English at this time.

Features include:
★ 3 different set of runes (RavenStones, DreamStones, and DruidStones), each with a matching background surface to lay the runes out on.

★ Freeform rune play. Any reading, whether you use a template (see below) or not, is completely freeform, allowing for a contemplative, meditative approach (like using physical runes). This opens the way to draw additional runes to clarify any point, and even to make up your own spreads!

★ 5 insightful reading layout templates, which include:
• Seer's Eye, for taking a closer, mystical look at any situation.
• Warrior's Path, for looking directly at a situation and the course of action called for.
• The Mirror, for reflecting on the dynamics of any relationship.
• The Wheel, for calling in the energies of the circle of self.
• The Stairs, for taking the steps towards a breakthrough.

★ Complete rune interpretation browser, with original interpretations, in and out of readings. You can read through all the runes in the full browser. In a reading a special browser is created with just the runes you have drawn so far.

★ Email both single runes and full readings! An image of each rune is included next to its interpretation, plus if you email a full reading it will include a screen shot of the reading for easy reference.

★ Copy and paste both single rune and full reading interpretations.

★ Helpful settings to customize your experience (include blank rune, turn rune browser on/off, enable reversed runes, toggle hints).

★ Full help section to guide you through the use of RavenStones, plus offer up some useful tips.

Customer Reviews

I see trying times but a bright future ahead of you.

This seems like a very thoughtful app, developed by people who know how to use runes. The design is simple and easy to learn, the rune descriptions are thorough and quick to access while doing a reading (I used to have to awkwardly thumb through a book rune by rune). One of the coolest features is how it can generate an email, with all the rune descriptions and placements. This is a great way to enter in personal notes along with the reading and archive it for later use for yourself or others. There are some minor bugs, but those are likely to be erased by time and future revisions. Great job and good luck.

Beautiful but imperfect

The app is well-designed and a delight to use, however the rune interpretations are soft-headed at best and flat-out inaccurate much of the time. As an example, most everyone else interprets the rune Raido to mean "Journey". This app interprets it to mean "Communion." Say what? It then goes on with a two-paragraph description that is, I'm sorry, absolutely meaningless tripe. Most of the descriptions are like this, written by a person skilled in the art of typing a lot of words that don't add up to anything sensible. At least one of the runes isn't even given its correct name. I'm using and enjoying the app for casting the runes, but for interpretations I'm still going to other sources.

My new favorite...

I do believe I have a new favorite for the iPad. I love that it has so many options. (I am just so thrilled that it can be set in landscape mode. The other app I was using didn't have that, and I tried not to let it bug me...but it really did.) I think the only thing I need more is a better understanding of the layout positions in the spreads. I need more descriptions about what they represent, and I hope I am not overlooking them somewhere. The freeform spread is great, though...love it!
