What's New in Version 1.4
iOS 8 support updated. Polling Data - visual enhancements with improved data accuracy.
I actually enjoy reading the articles until I get one that looks real interesting only to find that in order to read this article, I must first subscribe to the organization who wrote it (Chicago Tribune is one example and the Wall Street Journal is another).
Because of that I gave it 3.5 stars otherwise it would have been a 5.
Deserves Low App Rating
The content is great, as many other reviewers note. But the app is totally problematic. You can click on an article and it will crash the app or freeze.
Crash freeze does not happen in a web browser. And the really irritating thing I've noticed in this version is that articles by RCP authors are the most likely to fail. Go figure.
The content deserves an app that's worth four or five stars. RCP is letting its readers down. Badly.
I really don't understand why this app is so dysfunctional and non intuitive. I love the regular site on a PC. But honestly this really doesn't work on Apple iOS. You go to polls for instance and they give you a pull down widget. It closes before you can make a choice. Eventually you're able to pick something and it leads down an unrecoverable road. No idea how to go back. I have a bachelor or science in engineering and computer science and honestly , it's baffling. Did anyone test this in the real world ?
