No update since Oct. 2014; $100,000 for the premium plan; free plan being eliminated
What's the deal? Why no updates to improve this app since early fall of 2014? Minimally decent apps typically get at least a few updates per year.
Generally RebelMouse is great...if you are a corporate giant. They used to charge like $10/month for a premium plan. (UPDATE: They are discontinuing the free plan entirely.) Now they charge -- and I'm serious -- about $100,000 per year (on "average") for the premium "Roar" plan. Yes, ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. This is what they told me when I inquired by email. They don't widely publicize their outrageous prices, as the prices reflect a betrayal of their founding principles. See that cute little logo? Yeah, there's nothing rebellious or mouse-like about what this company does. It serves corporate behemoths. Not that there's anything necessarily wrong with doing big business and working with big companies to make buckets of profits. It's just that they started out offering great services to the little guy too (the "rebel mouse," one might say) but then abandoned that rather abruptly. (They maintained a cr**py free service for a few years, but now they are dropping that.)
No longer free
Unless you have 5 to 6 figures a month to throw at them; don't bother downloading this. Every successful media company in the world has figured out how to take advantage of the "free product" model; not RebelMouse.
