Good and Not So Good

It is nearly impossible to get MyFitnessPal, where nutrition is logged since this is a function UA doesn't offer in any detail, to sync properly without SEVERAL attempts. PLEASE FIX THIS! Nutrition logging is just as important as exercise.

UPDATE: Very glad to see nutrition tracking is fixed, but the exercise module has real problems. Not only can I not change my Time Goal for exercise, it does not even read the correct one from MyFitnessPal. Also, it doesn't read exercise done from MFP. The only success I've had is using MapMyRun to log my exercise, which it seems to read, or entering it directly into the app. This is a known issue but there is no timeframe to fix it.😣

My Personal Favorite

I've used a lot of the fitness trackers and their respective apps. Inevitably, I stopped using them all, either because I became bored, or because I stopped using the hardware from which they get their data.

This app has persisted in my daily routine and I don't foresee giving it up anytime soon. It tracks EVERYTHING and doesn't require that I own a piece of hardware to get use out of it. As a bonus, it appears to be able to connect to any fitness device!

My main gripe is that it can take a minute to show all my stats on the home screen. Often, I have to click into sleep, steps, etc., to get the app to catch up. However, this was an issue with Fitbit's app as well, so I'll chalk it up to an iPhone hardware limitation.

My favorite thing about the app is that it tracks sleep MUCH more intuitively than the stock apple activity app.

Now all I need is a heart rate monitor. Perhaps I'll try the Under Armor brand. It'll be their reward for not sucking.

Waiting for a full App

Update: finally got so buggy I had to remove it. Wish UA would do better.

So now that UA took over the MapMyFitness and then released this Record App, it's like they only wanted to give their users a slice of features. For example, Record doesn't log to my iPhone HealthKit but MMF does while Record shows me my heart rate during my workout but MMF now doesn't.
It would be nice to edit past workouts to. What if need to change the type from full body to upper body because I forgot to do that at the beginning of the workout.
I have the Armour39 module, which connects to this, but there is no intensity view or history either. I'd have to go to the Armour39 App for that. Now it's more difficult to see if I'm progressing in my workouts.
I like Record's interface for usability and tracking capabilities I'd like MMF pre-UA back, or give one App with the right features.
I'll stick around for a couple updates, but without some of the above features my Armour39 module is just a calorie tracker and I can estimate that.
