Customer Reviews
Best RSS Reader
I rarely give reviews, but Reeder is my favorite RSS reader on any platform. I've tried out many of the competing RSS apps on the market, but I always go back to Reeder. It is a multi-use per day app for me and it has a permanent spot on my home screen.
What makes Reeder the best? I'm not fond of many of the default settings, but once I tweak the fonts to a readable one (I prefer serif fonts for reading news), turn on the dark mode, and disable notifications, and enable auto-sync, it's a great tool for catching up on my many feeds and staying up on the news. It's simplistic in design, but has nearly all of the features I could want in an RSS reader. One exception: since I follow several hundred feeds, and have no time to read them all, I would love to have a 'Mark All Read Older than X' function. But this is relatively minor and not worth deducting a star for.
Additionally, the large number of supported sync services is great (and one of the few RSS readers that supports TT-RSS) and the the inclusion of Instapaper support for both saving and reading articles means it serves as the one stop place for my news.
Perfect no-nonsense RSS app
Unlike many other RSS apps, Reeder focuses on efficiently presenting the information you want rather than filling the screen with pictures and weird layouts.
Primarily text driven, the app makes excellent use of screen real estate without feeling cramped, and everything just works exactly like you'd want it to. It's smooth, logically laid out, and always reliable.
One of my favorite apps and although I was hesitant to buy it at first, it's proven to be more than worth it.
Reeder team is awesome
The Reeder team recently implemented a suggestion from last review:
"Would be great if Reeder 3 for iOS allowed keyboard shortcuts like the desktop app. With the iPad Pro, keyboards are becoming more common. It would be more efficient to go through a feed with dedicated buttons. Thanks!"
I'm really appreciate. This is why Reeder is one of the best apps on iOS.
