Customer Reviews

I like reading the news here BUT....

I enjoy getting the 7 or 8 major topics for the day. The articles run a full span of things I am interested in. There are two things that make me crazy that this app does:
1-when you get to the bottom of an article there are additional news bites. I will click on one and start reading. There will be a twitter link that needs to be opened... I open it, after I read the twitter feed, there's NO WAY to get back to the article I was enjoying. It re-opens the first article I was reading...
2-Some of your news reports are from another source like "NYT" or "The Washington Post". I will begin to read an article on the site and it will ask if I'm interested in subscribing? or will inform me I can only read five articles per month.

I am sure your desktop version is easier to manipulate for a reader. I am a woman, who wants her news, on her iPhone, the way it's supposed to be. Thank you!

Used to be good

This app used to be part of my morning routine. However the voice has changed. The app has always been left leaning but now it doesn't even feel like news. I downloaded this app for reliable news sourced from multiple outlets. I'm incredibly liberal, but I want straight forward unbiased news. The news on this app has recently started to resemble click bait, which raises a red flag. Today's headlines include: "it's go time and TrumpCare is still a little light on votes. Sad!" And "we know Trump doesn't mind lying on Twitter but still..." In addition to "EnergyStar costs 50 million but saves 43 billion. So...we...cut it?" As you can see the language is completely inappropriate for a news app. It also weirdly advertises airline deals as part of the news. This said, the apps design is absolutely amazing. If only the app could refrain from using biased, condescending language that'd be great.

Very biased and not that informative

When I first got this app, I thought it was pretty useful and I'd use it every morning. Now, however, it's very biased and I see pointless news stories that I wouldn't care about. It wasn't real news, I wanted the legit news that I can read and be informed of while hearing both sides of the story and being unbiased. I didn't care about who tweeted what or what clothing line was in stock. I also remember about a week before the Trump's inauguration, the was a story of how Hillary could still become president. I saw this as a sad attempt and a ridiculous story. Sorry, but you lost someone who used your app everyday.
