In fertile Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, lies the cradle of civilization.
Your goal is to develop all 4 of the key spheres of civilization: Settlements, Temples, Farms, and Markets. To do this, you will position your leaders, create and extend kingdoms, build monuments, and resolve conflicts. Tension arises when kingdoms connect and leaders clash on the board, with only one leader of each type surviving. You will thus aquire victory points in each of the four spheres. The winner is the player who develops their civilization in the most balanced way, without revealing a sphere of weakness.
With no setup time required, no pieces to lose, and no arguments about the rules, the future of board games is here and Tigris & Euphrates gives you exactly what you want -- to play!
How to play:

- Place a tile and earn a victory point.

- Swap up to 6 tiles
The active player may choose two different actions, or the same action twice.

Awesome Game! Plays Great!
Great game.. I have the tabletop version, but had trouble understanding the rules. I Waited a few months til the app went on sale for 99 cents. I bought the app to teach myself the rules. It took a few times going thru tutorial, playing the game and reading the rules in the App, but I was able to figure it out. Fun game, really love the mechanics... Point collecting, area control, 2different types of head to head combat, can really swing the game... Plus being able to instigate wars between your opponents is an interesting twist I haven't seen before.
The game is pretty stable on both my ipad 2 and ipad 3. The interface works well enough.. There are 3 minor issues... First, the rematch function doesn't work, it just hangs there, so after you hit rematch, you still have to go back to the main menu and replay the same game to get it to restart. Second, there's like 3 pages of game save slots, I have no idea why you would ever need that many.. Third, the animation to display the final scoring is slow.. I guess it's supposed to be dramatic, but it's just slow...
Still an Awesome game... my new favorites iPad board game implementation. Can't wait to try my tabletop version with my friends now...
Needs a couple of interface changes
This is a great game, don't get me wrong. It works great on both iPad and iPhone/iPod touch. So good in fact that you'll be playing it over and over. Then you'll start to notice the interface issues. Then you'll get annoyed by them. Then you'll start to hate them. 1) takes 10 seconds at the end of the game just to see the scores. The rest of the game moves super fast, but not this part. Someone thought it would be fun to be suspenseful, but it's really a huge waste of time. If you play 60 games, and you will easily, you'll have lost 10 minutes of your life. 2) Someone thought it would be worthwhile to save every game you complete automatically. So unless you want to waste time scrolling through endless pages of finished games, you'll have to delete the game every time you finish it. Another waste of time. 3) the "rematch" button doesn't work. It starts a new game but never lets you play. 4) lastly, on iPhone/iPod touch, when it's not your turn you can't see your tiles or scores. Would be nice to have this option in a single player game so you can plan your turn while the computer plays.
It's a 5-star game, but only a 3-star interface. A couple of bug fixes would literally make this perfect.
I do like the game
I do like the game. I have the board version as well and like the app because it's not a favorite amongst gamers. What I don't like about the app itself is I paid money for it and yet I get the annoying ad for the Porto Rico game app that I also already own. It pops up when taping the screen to load my game. It also regularly freezes the game and I have to reboot my device. Sometimes when I'm luckily enough not to select it I can't get it to close. The (x) to close doesn't always work. I figure it froze my device there and have to reboot my device. I'd like to play multiple games, but multiple games would require more access to the game thus more of that ad getting in the way. I haven't recommended this game to my friends because of the ad. We just play other euro games instead.
