Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
When doing genealogy research it is helpful to keep track of the research that you have done. That way you don't end up repeating research. Research Logger is an app built for the very purpose of keeping track of the research that you have done. With this app you will no longer have to carry around a bulky notebook containing your research notes/log. Instead, with this app, all your research notes can be in one place that is easy to carry around.
Maybe you are doing family research in the library and you need to go to the microfilm reader to look for your ancestor(s). With this app you can leave all your materials at the desk you are set up at and take your convenient iPhone/iPod with you. Or, what if you are researching in a book and you come across a family name or something you don't want to forget; if you have this app you would just have to pull your iPhone/iPod out of your pocket and log it down in the app. No more having to walk back to your desk to get your cumbersome research notes.
-separate log entries for each ancestor
-search by phrase, all, or any key words over your log entries to quickly find what you are looking for
-a todo list
-add pictures to log entries
-add audio recordings to log entries
-email all or individual log entries
What's New in Version 1.2.1
Fixed bug that would let you delete log entries.
Fixed a couple of memory leaks.
Great Family History Logger
Ignore the low stars. They must be a glitch because I don't see any one star reviews much less 5. I hate hand writing anything these days and i like to keep everything electronic for easy access and sharing. So I'm thrilled to find this app that lets me keep research logs on my iPad. Pony up a buck, you will be glad you did.
Basic, yet solid.
This application was developed in 2010 missing iOS 5 support, but it does simple things well enough.
I challenge the dev to take it to the next level, especially considering there's currently no competition within this specialized niche, and the strong need for an app like it.
Needs more than vcf file forward to email please
I just tried sending myself one file and without retyping it vcf format really is outdated. I wish you could do more about it?
It's basically a shell without the content.
Please consider transferring full text to email address. Perhaps add interface with * Evernote and/or * AwesomeNote which are capable of handling more content (Sources, etc.). Topics could be used for anything, I used places as well as family name for Soundex assignment. So when I'm looking at film I can look down my list if come across similar name.
I would add stars for such functions.
Review #5 had good idea.
