Convenient and useful information for every road traveler, with Rest Area!
Based on your current location, or any other location you configure, Rest Area will retrieve the closest rest areas in the area and display them on a map or in a customized listing. Easily switch back and forth between map view and list view to see where they are.
Choose the order that rest areas are shown and how large of a search area to cover.
Each record contains detailed information about the rest area, such as what kind of facilities are available and where it is located. Even plot the item in Google Maps to get directions.
Rest Area makes location-based travel assistance simple and convenient.

Bug fixes and now free!
The only issue i have with this app is it does not say "No Trucks" I use this app and others to find a safe and legal place to park and sleep for the night, and i have pulled up to rest areas i found on this app that say "No Trucks" if i would have been told by the app it would have helped me a lot! I wouldnt mind paying for the app if it told me if trucks were allowed in rest areas! Other than that, the app is great and has been dead on about everything! Great Job and keep up the great work, and please consider adding a "No Trucks" sign in the app! Thanks much!
This app combined with a gps is a great addition if you drive truck. Unless I'm wrong most of the bad marks come from before I got it. As for the no trucks aspect I read unless it's off the hwy you can park just wait until late like 9 it's just a matter of tight turns. As for the people complaining that it's got no point of reference turn on map view and take a quick map reading class. I recommend this app to anyone that is traveling and may need to stop on the way.
Nothing a sign won't tell you.
There is so much potential in this app, but right now it falls short. Sure, it will tell you how far the next rest area is and whether or not you will find what you need, but so will any sign. What we really want to know is what types of food is available at each rest stop. We can usually hold it an extra few if we know there is a McD's in 25 miles, over settling for the BK in 3 miles.
