Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
To use this application, you must have either Reunion 9 or Reunion 10 installed on your Macintosh. You must also have a wireless connection to your Macintosh.
This application was designed as a companion product to Reunion, the highest rated genealogy software for the Macintosh.
Take your family tree with you; names, events, facts notes, logs, sources and photos. Browse, view, navigate, search, and edit your information on the go. You'll always be ready to add people, document new information, and make corrections to your data. Then bring the changes back to your family file on the Macintosh.
Reunion for iPad introduces many new features above and beyond our popular iPhone app. For example: the index, a list of bookmarks, or a list of relatives is always visible; the family tree becomes interactive as people are tapped in one of the lists; identify all the relatives of any person on the iPad; add photos from your iPad Photo Albums; filter the index in many useful ways, such as showing only people who have birthdays in the next week, or only people with photos; the Tree view goes up to 4 generations back and 4 generations forward; the Ages report includes photos; you can email family cards, tree charts, photos, and lists.
What's New in Version 2.0.1
Corrected some minor issues with iOS 7.
Family tree on iPad is excellent
I have been using Reunion on my Mac from the beginning. Being able to sync with iPhone was nice, but I really like the tree view on my iPad. You can see several generations including a thumbnail of a photo and you can zoom in or out. Clicking a person bring them to the head
home position so it is convenient for surfing across a family. Everyone I've shown it to has been impressed. It is then easy to go to a person's family page and show photos. You can update a family page and add photos, either taken or from your library and then sync this to (or from) your other computer.
This family tree view is the feature I like the best.
A great app
Works well, looks good, provides quick access to all my data. I like that it syncs with Reunion for Mac. I use Reunion for iPad to collect data "in the field" and then sync it back up to my Mac at home. Well done, worth the price! Easy to show my relatives the genealogy data, trees, etc., when I take vacations to their places.
Useless for Research On the Go
As a long-time Reunion user, I thought that the iPad app would be just the thing to allow me to conduct research while traveling without having to carry my laptop. Unfortunately, the interface for dealing with sources is crippled, providing no way to search, sort, or organize material. In addition, source updates are *not* synced to Reunion.
So basically this version of Reunion is useless for the serious researcher. A pity.
