Reverb for Amazon Alexa
Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
Reverb allows you to interact with Alexa from anywhere. Via Alexa, Reverb answers questions, reports traffic and weather, gives info on local businesses, provides sports scores and schedules, and more using the Alexa Voice Service.
Reverb now uses Alexa v2, which adds support for timers, alarms, long form audio, audiobooks, and more.
It can also interact with smart devices that are compatible with Alexa, such as lights, switches, and thermostats compatible Samsung SmartThings, WeMo, Philips Hue, and others.
Alexa is always learning new features, plus thousands of skills like 1-800-flowers, Animal Sounds, and more
Reverb does not support music due to Alexa doesn't allow use of Amazon Music in apps. Only hardware implementations are allowed to play Amazon Music.

What's New in Version 2.0.2
Added support for using UK and German accounts
Minor tweaks and improvements for accessibility
Needs hands free, shopping and music capability
Amazon won’t let them add Prime Music playing, or shopping capability. Amazon, you are being stupid. Don’t blow the opportunity to take the ENTIRE market while Apple and Google are still trying to figure out what’s going on. Let everyone add Alexa to ALL THE THINGS.
Holy cow, this exists and works
With four Amazon Echo Dots already scattered around the house, I hesitated to buy more for the kid’s rooms. Now I can give them a “virtual” Dot that works anywhere in the house. Sure, they have to click to activate listening but aren’t they in front of a computer or an iOS device all the time anyway? ;-)
I hope this stays free but something tells me it won’t…
One feature request I would suggest is they implement an option for this to run from the menu bar and hide the dock. That would align much better with it’s intended use and the way Apple implemented Siri in macOS Sierra.
