Description

Reverb allows you to interact with Alexa from anywhere. Via Alexa, Reverb answers questions, reports traffic and weather, gives info on local businesses, provides sports scores and schedules, and more using the Alexa Voice Service.

For correct weather and alerts, please use the Alexa app or website to set Reverb's location and timezone.

Reverb now uses Alexa v2, which adds support for timers, alarms, long form audio, audiobooks, and more.

It can also interact with smart devices that are compatible with Alexa, such as lights, switches, and thermostats compatible Samsung SmartThings, WeMo, Philips Hue, and others.

Alexa is always learning new features, plus thousands of skills like 1-800-flowers, Animal Sounds, and more

Reverb does not support music due to Alexa doesn't allow use of Amazon Music in apps. Only hardware implementations are allowed to play Amazon Music and certain News Briefings.

Try Asking Questions:
Alexa, set a timer for 5 minutes.
Alexa, set volume to 4.
Alexa, set an alarm for 5 pm.
Alexa, why is the sky blue?
Alexa, how many ounces are in a cup?
Alexa, how far is the moon?
Alexa, tell me a joke.
Alexa, what is 16 plus 41 multiplied by 24?
Alexa, do you know Siri?
Alexa, sing happy birthday.

Try enabling other skills via voice
Alexa, enable Campbell's Kitchen.
Alexa, ask Campbell's Kitchen what's for dinner.
Alexa, ask 1-800-Flowers to order Becky flowers.
Alexa, tell Tide I have a juice stain.

An Amazon account is required in order to sign in and use Alexa service. This is a requirement of Amazon. Reverb is never given your Amazon account credentials.

Customer Reviews

Simple, like Alexa. Great to have A. on my laptop anywhere!

Very pleased! Simple and it works. Contrary to the other reviewer, I do NOT want a GUI. No buttons and bars, etc. Just want to use my voice, which is the purpose of using Alexa. Alexa is supposed to do the work. It is a voice activated system, why would I want to use a GUI? Hands free is the concept behind Alexa. You have to use the Alexa App to get more, and that is a failure of Alexa.

Big thanks to the dev for the apps - both Mac and iOS. And for their simplicity which matches Alexa in concept and design.

Too Basic

I give the developer credit for creating this app. However, no work went into the design or functionality of this app. It is just one big button. There are no task bar shortcuts to quickly ask Alexa a question. There are no keyboard shortcuts to launch the app. They’ve simply created a big button and are letting Amazon do all of the work. Come on! Make it more functional!
