View all your Dropbox activity, past and present. Rewind if necessary.
Revisions lets you see all file edits in your Dropbox, and restore old versions of files and entire folders with the click of a button. In essence, this is "track changes" and "undo" functionality for your entire Dropbox! For instance, you can...
- check what files your coworker changed over the weekend, and investigate exactly what in those files was changed
- restore the contents of a shared folder after your colleague deleted a large bunch of files to make room in his or her own Dropbox, inadvertently deleting your copies of the files in the process
- keep track of what files you or your team worked on in any given week, and see exactly what you accomplished.
Basically, Revisions gives you effortless version control for your Dropbox. The app lives in your menu bar so is always at your fingertips when you need it.
Revisions is compatible with OS X 10.10 Yosemite and later.

Under the hood, Revisions relies on functionality already built into Dropbox: For all accounts (including free accounts), Dropbox stores all versions of all your files for the past 30 days. Depending on your Dropbox account type, you may have even longer history. Revisions allows you to access and make use of all this data of yours with an intuitive interface.
Revisions lets you use a variety of external apps to show the details of individual file edits: Kaleidoscope, Changes, Araxis Merge, BBEdit, and TextWrangler are natively supported, and others (such as FileMerge) can be connected via a custom script. Each of these apps can show the detailed edits (inserts, deletions, and modifications) made to text files. Some can also highlight edits made in image files.

Revisions needs to be revised back to Dropbox
I liked Dropbox because it was easy to use. It was easier to located and open documents in Dropbox that it is in this Revisions app. Some of my documents will not open and will not show up on the list in order to open it. It also does not work well on a Mac computer once you convert Dropbox to revisions. Is there a way to go back to Dropbox after converting to Revisions? If there is, please let me know because I would like to revise and return to the original Dropbox app.
Developer Response ,
There seems to be a misunderstanding about what the Revisions app is for, and how it is intended to be used. It is certainly not meant to replace the standard Dropbox app. Instead, Revisions is designed to be used alongside the regular Dropbox app (as a companion), to provide those extra features that the standard Dropbox app is missing. So, by all means, go and install the normal Dropbox sync app (if you uninstalled it) and use it just as you did before. Revisions only provides you the extra opportunity to view what files have recently changed, and by whom, and provides the feature to easily revert a single file, or a set of files, back to an earlier version.
If you need further assistance, please let me know (by using the in-app contact form, for example), and I'll be happy to help you get the most out of the Dropbox and Revisions combination!
