Updated Bus Schedules
Ratings and Reviews
Thought it would be better
Thought it would show the bus tracking but it does not. This app is no better than going online to look at bus schedules. It is more confusing to use than the TCat website and it could not find my current location even in the middle of campus.
Almost as Bad as an App Can Get
I do appreciate that someone made this app but it really couldn't be worse. The suggestions are frequently preposterous. For example, I once needed a bus from Uris Hall to E Hill Plaza at noon. Any shmucko knows that this can easily be accomplished with route 82 every ten minutes but I was a first week freshman so I put it in the app. The app suggested that I walk .17 miles to Sage Hall and wait for tomorrow's 9:17 am bus. Luckily I realized that this was ridiculous and decided to check the TCAT ride guide myself which WAS conveniently linked in the app. I saw "WAS" because this feature no longer works. This was probably the best feature. Next problem is that once you do one search the search bar disappears so if you want to change any parameters you must shut the app down and restart it. It pains me to think that this guy has made so much money on this app.
The only option
I struggle with this app on a daily basis. I always have to cross-reference the trip suggestions with the bus schedule PDFs (which, luckily, are handily linked in the app) because the suggestions are convoluted. It almost never tells me the soonest or most direct trip. Unfortunately, it is the only app available for TCAT. I know the app developers are not TCAT affiliated, GPS isn't available and you can't be held accountable for accuracy, etc. And I do appreciate that someone took the time to make this app at all. But seriously, if you could improve these trip calculator algorithms I would pay 5x the price. When your suggestions don't even line up with the actual bus schedules you're referencing, I really don't know how you're even making these calculations.
