Architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld was a pioneer of Modernism, member of the ‘De Stijl’ movement and the only Dutch architect who designed a building that has been placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List; the Rietveld Schröderhouse in Utrecht. Only few people know Rietveld realised more than 100 different buildings in The Netherlands. These can now all be traced with this Rietveld Architecture iPhone application. The built-in GPS function shows you what buildings are close to you and what routes can be followed.
Each project is explained with two images, project description and full address. All information, except the maps, is stored localy so no additional roaming costs are required. From his famous Rietveld Schröderhouse to private summerhouses and urban city development plans from the 1950’s.
